[If you go down to the edge of the woods today, you can see this huge muscled man emerging from the trees, with a chest carried seemingly effortlessly over his shoulder. Some of his clothes are torn, slightly bloodied, and -- are those burn marks? -- but otherwise he seems unhurt. He stops when he catches the eye of anyone looking his way, bright grin in place.]2.
Ah! You must be wondering what I'm doing? I am here... retrieving an incredibly heavy chest from the woods!
[After that booming proclamation, he sets the chest down on the grass with an equally loud thud and crouches down to inspect it more closely. On the surface he barely seems fazed by his injuries, although those who know to look for it might notice the strain behind his ever-present smile. Briefly, he glances over his shoulder.]
--Hey. Do you know if anyone around here is good with lockpicks? [Asks the giant who could just smash the lock with his fists. Huh.]
[At some point after he's found a safe place to store the (for now, apparently unopenable) chest, All Might finds a place to slink off out of muscle from and lick his wounds. He overdid it in the forest, spending more time in there than he would have liked. Only time will tell whether it was worth it or not, but he's come to accept that kind of gamble is part of trying to continue hero work with ever-fading strength.
Deciding he'd rather be alone, his wanderings take him to the Bluo district, where he stops by the canal, gazing out at the water. A view like this feels nostalgic, at least a little. He turns his gaze up to the sky, mumbling to himself:]
Master... I wonder if you'd really be so disappointed in me.

> "—!"
[ Even if his voice wasn't so... loud, it would be hard not to notice him. He naturally stands out, in a way Ari himself very much doesn't.
Ari
awkwardlyapologetically admits that he doesn't know anyone like that, before asking if the man is all right. He's so taken aback by the man's sudden appearance that he's forgotten to assert himself. ]no subject
Okay, thanks!
[Maybe Ari should try again...?]
no subject
So he tries again, this time injecting a measure of emphasis behind his voice. ]
> "Are you all right?"
[ He doesn't know the man, but he's hurt, isn't he? ]
no subject
Yes... I'm fine! There was nothing in those woods that I couldn't handle!
[Just act casual around your roommate, All Might. You got this...?]
no subject
He offers anyway, just in case. ]
> "Um, I know how to heal, if you need help..."
[ Fortunately for All Might, Ari is completely clueless to his true identity. ]

And then he hears this man.]
Why do you think they'd be disappointed in you?
no subject
A-ah, sorry! I was just rambling to myself. It's a bad habit.
no subject
Nonsense. If you said it out loud, you must want to discuss it.
Come, I'm going to try "fishing" the way humans do. We should have plenty of time to talk. [Indeed, there's a fishing rod in his hands.]
no subject
If you don't mind an audience to watch you fish, sure.
no subject
I hear it's quite boring when you're on your own. Some company would be appreciated.

Should she stay? Should she leave him alone?
Either way, she's fidgeting a bit in her moment of indecision, and that's when the Stick of Plot Convenience magically appears beneath her shoe to snap loudly when she accidentally steps on it.
Rude. ]

... Ah, it's Kisa, the girl with the tiger Quirk, isn't it? The sensible thing would be to peace out before she can recognise him, but he's certainly been worried about her since they first met, too, so he'd feel guilty to leave her on her own.]
Oh, hello, young miss. Is something wrong?
no subject
She's fine, but he looked a little woeful and she is Concerned. ]

[He forces a smile, even if it doesn't look quite so convincing on his usual face than in muscle form.]
I'm fine! I was only lost in thought.

Or his injuries. Which are very concerning, but Tristan’s politely trying not to…stare.
Look just go with it all right]Is it really so important to open it right away, Sir? Surely that can wait while your wounds are attended to.
no subject
[He scratches his head, apparently perplexed by the unopenable chest, and gets to his feet, glancing only briefly over at the stranger who joined him.]
Hmm... If it can't be opened, maybe I should find somewhere to put it for safekeeping for now...
no subject
But if I open it for you, would you consider seeking treatment for your wounds?
no subject
[He gets up and steps aside, making space for Tristan to have a try at the chest if he wants to. Which might be a way of agreeing to his proposal to seek treatment... maybe.]

And possibly destroy whatever item might be held inside. Wise choice on asking for help there, All Might.
He pulls out his harp in the meantime, gliding his fingers across the strings, summoning a series of invisible sound waves to strike at the lock’s flimsier parts. ]

1 - Sept 14
The huge muscular figure coming out of the trees does not alarm him, but is rather surprising for several other reasons. Foremost of which is that he's seen this person before, albeit as a tiny statue.
Seeing the man's state of injury he hurries forward, his mouth opening to call out-- but All Might-dono makes his proclamation and asks a question first. Politely, Tonbokiri answers,]
Ah, it happens that I do. I can use a lockpick as well, but I admit it takes me a very long time. So it would best to see Kurusu-dono.
[Although it seems that All Might-dono is not letting his injuries bother him, Tonbokiri still holds out a gauntleted hand in a friendly gesture to help the other man to his feet.]
Shall I take you there? And, would I be correct to call you All Might-dono? [Honestly, his similarity to the pictures and statues he saw in Midoriya's room is unmistakable, but best to be polite about it, just in case.]
no subject
Yes! I am All Might! [He puts his hands on his hips in his typical hero stance, the one people will have seen on countless action figures and posters. Thanks to Izuku, many people's expectations here in this town aren't so different.
The offer gives him pause, though. He was in the forest for over an hour, and he's conscious he's coming close to his limit. Overexerting himself over a chest would be a waste, so...]
Hmm, I don't know any Kurusu just yet, but perhaps this can wait until tomorrow! The hour grows late, after all! [That's... that's a convincing reason, right? He picks up the chest again, hefting it over one shoulder.]
no subject
At the mention of the hour, Tonbokiri looks to the sky more out of habit than being able to truly check the time here. It's not that late, but...]
You are correct in that the end of the day is near. So if you believe there to be no hurry to open it... [He watches in admiration as the man puts the obviously heavy chest on his shoulder again.]
Although you clearly have no trouble carrying it, you are injured. Won't you allow me to carry the chest for you? Or, would you like to see someone who can heal you before you return to your home? It would be remiss of me to not do what I can for you, especially as I am an acquaintance of your student, Midoriya-dono.
[He pauses there, aware that once he introduces himself further it may raise questions that would distract from getting immediate answers about how Tonbokiri can help All Might.]
no subject
My good man, I should find somewhere secure to leave this chest before I worry about anything else! If there's anything dangerous inside, I wouldn't want it to cause trouble for anyone.
[He can't forget the feeling of dread he felt when he first found the chest, nor what was guarding it.]
Do you have any suggestions?
no subject
It is very unlikely someone here would steal it. However, if you suspect there is something dangerous inside... [He nods decisively.]
Ichinose-dono is the leader of our defence force here. If anyone can keep the chest and its contents secure, it would be him.
