Little Willie, mean as hell, Pushed his sister in a well. Mother said, while drawing water, "My, it's hard to raise a daughter."

t's pretty dark and miserable down in the well. The cavernous area feels much larger than a well should be, bodies milling about in the darkness and knee deep, frigid water. So you're here -- and you're not alone, and the only way out appears to be the thin circle of sunlight from above, the opening of the well. (And elsewhere, in the Town, everyone's waking up to gifts of various usefulness, but hopefully they remember to check the well today even so!) What now? Welcome to Awash's tenth event log, and the intro log for this month, everyone! All new characters have found themselves waking in the well in the middle of the Town. Oh, no worries, I'm used to roughing it. I've been camping on and off for a while now. A crappy mattress is only a tiny more luxurious than what I've gotten used to.

[ They did stop into inns every so often, many times because she was having a hard time, but they also did more camping out than anything. She got used to it. She also didn't really have the emotional capacity to care about it, but she wouldn't have complained even if she had. ]

[Rin's dorm may not have been five stars, but his Chroma house had been a bit of a downgrade at the beginning.]

Well uh, you can fix it up and stuff after you're settled in.

[ That's something she can work on in time ... If she was going to be here for a while, anyway. ]

How am I supposed to know which place I should stay in? Is it just a matter of finding a place and claiming it?

Uh, well. That's... kinda the weird part? You're just gonna kinda know. You won't have to stay there after you find it but it'll give you a place to rest for a bit and you can grab your laptop if you decide to move anywhere else.

You just ... know?

[ It wasn't really a foreign concept to her, to just know something by intuition, but it was a little strange when applied to something like a place to stay.

There was something else he had said that confused her more, though. ]

Yeah. You're gonna find out how weird this place is pretty fast.

Oh uh. It's a computer you can carry around.

[She doesn't know what a computer is!]

Erm. Basically a device you can use to talk to other people when they're not with you. If you find yours you can bring it by the cafe I can show you how to work it.

Oh! Okay. It sounds like it might be something I'll need help with, so I guess having you show me would be good.

[ She doesn't have any idea about that stuff. ]

So, ah. I guess we should start heading towards Bluo then?

I'm not great with computers but I know enough about this one! But, yeah, get goin' that way, you shouldn't miss it. I'm gonna go check the well and make sure everyone else is alright.

[spiria]

Oh, okay. That's ... probably a good idea, yes.

[ She would probably be right there with him if she weren't new herself and in dire need of figuring stuff out. ]

Once I find my place, I might come back and help you with that. If that's okay?

[That was... surprising. It probably read easily on his face that he wasn't expecting that. Most new arrivals really just want to settle in and be left alone for a time.]

[ To be fair, she wouldn't rest easy if she left everyone else in the well to fend for themselves in an unknown place. ]
