t's pretty dark and miserable down in the well. The cavernous area feels much larger than a well should be, bodies milling about in the darkness and knee deep, frigid water. So you're here -- and you're not alone, and the only way out appears to be the thin circle of sunlight from above, the opening of the well. (And elsewhere, in the Town, everyone's waking up to gifts of various usefulness, but hopefully they remember to check the well today even so!) What now? Welcome to Awash's tenth event log, and the intro log for this month, everyone! All new characters have found themselves waking in the well in the middle of the Town. [ Jion doesn't easily get annoyed by what other people say, but it feels like Giorno is being condescending about -- of all things -- him not having enough organs, and he can't help frowning. ]

Look, I have three hearts and four lungs. And probably, like, two and a half livers right now. That is enough.

[ Nope, bad move, he shouldn't be getting annoyed at his new roommate. Jion huffs out an exhale to calm down before continuing more patiently. ]

I'm an engineered unit. Genetically modified. I just ... heal from most injuries and produce extra organs, that's how I'm built. Is that enough information?

You remind me of my Stand, but in a more specialized capacity.

[ listen, it's impressive!! three hearts, four lungs, two and a half livers. that's like a superpowered bird. a turbobird. for example, jion can probably hunt for fish in the depths of the sea and never have to rise up until he's got an entire net with schools and schools of them. he doesn't tell him this, though.

but giorno thinks he's better. this is just A Fact. ] Yes, that's enough. And so: let's say you just stopped producing organs. Something in this town happened to prevent your body from producing that extra stomach or one extra pair of lungs. It's possible; there have been instances where people have had difficulties using their powers for a day or two. That's where I step in. I can make them from inanimate objects and shove them back into your body, and we can make as many as you need to function again.

[ to add to that statement, he was actually thinking of showing off, but then he remembered people get terrified or weirded out whenever he shows off, so he doesn't .... do it. ]

[ There's a few things that Giorno seems to have misunderstood about him -- that his production of organs isn't so much a 'power' as it is an inborn trait, and that he doesn't actually use that extra liver -- but he can leave that for later.

For now ... Jion's expression scrunches in thought as he tries to wrap his mind around this. ] Alright. So you can ... turn inanimate objects into organs. And you can get them to incorporate into a patient's body without any effort? You just drop it in there and it starts working? [ Geez, talk about convenient. Jion sounds equal parts confused and impressed as he says it.

There's still a lot here he doesn't get, but at least he has a rough idea of what Giorno seems capable of. Which is admittedly pretty cool.

Though he does want to clarify one more thing: ] ... what do you mean, your Stand?

[tropism]

It's the most useful one of my abilities. Although you meet many kinds of people in this town, and some of them aren't quite human - I've yet to attempt any sort of 'healing' with anybody whose physiology I'm not familiar with, simply because it's just too complicated and I don't want to accidentally ruin anything. [ a pause. ] For example, I know somebody here who is a living gemstone. Putting them back together is a matter of ... finding their own pieces and rebuilding their body parts from their own material and they lose parts of their memory in the process. It's not something I'd get involved in.

But with most things I'm fully capable of stepping in to help. In more extreme scenarios, I can even grow limbs for someone in case of amputations. It just takes time.

[ and for the more difficult part of that - ] The Stand is my power. Some people have them as well. Normally other people who don't have Stands shouldn't be able to see them, but this town likes to surprise me.

[ there's an outline of gold around him. that's as far as he's willing to show for now. ]

[ The sudden golden glow earns a flinch, and he backs off a half-step. He feels like he's going to have a headache. Jion's pretty sure he hasn't had to absorb this much information this quickly since he first did his medic training, and that was years ago. Hand pressed to his temple, he exhales slowly before nodding. ]

... okay. Alright. Cool. That's cool. I get it.

[ Glancing aside, he mutters a little quietly, partly to himself, ]

If you're saying you're not even the best healer around, I can't imagine how nice the others must be. I feel kinda outdate, is this how old computers feel ...

[ There's a pause before he suddenly perks up, as if realizing something. ]

-- hey, you said you can turn things into organs. Can you go the other way?

[tropism]

[ he raises an eyebrow with that. ] I can do a lot of things, but you'll have to be more specific. What are you looking for?
