Little Willie, mean as hell, Pushed his sister in a well. Mother said, while drawing water, "My, it's hard to raise a daughter."

t's pretty dark and miserable down in the well. The cavernous area feels much larger than a well should be, bodies milling about in the darkness and knee deep, frigid water. So you're here -- and you're not alone, and the only way out appears to be the thin circle of sunlight from above, the opening of the well. (And elsewhere, in the Town, everyone's waking up to gifts of various usefulness, but hopefully they remember to check the well today even so!) What now? Welcome to Awash's tenth event log, and the intro log for this month, everyone! All new characters have found themselves waking in the well in the middle of the Town. People are scared of all sorts of things. Besides, some fish have very sharp teeth. Haven't you ever seen a piranha?

There wouldn't be piranhas down here.

[He says that immediately, like he's hoping to head off the thought before it can settle too firmly in his head. Nope. Absolutely not.]

They're in, you know, rivers or something, not-- holes.

People aren't supposed to be in holes either! How do you think we ended up in here?

[...she says, cheerfully.]

--but there's no way someone would have put piranhas in here too. I mean, we'd know. They'd probably have bitten someone already, or...

[Or brushed against somebody's leg. He stares suspiciously down at the water, thanks Sadie.]

Oooor...?

[Maybe the piranhas are on their best behavior, waiting for some unsuspecting medium to munch on. Sadie waits for Ryan to finish his sentence, but she also shifts her weight from foot to foot, which might move some of the water around a bit. Maybe it'll feel like something's brushing up against his leg...]

[Yeah, she's not getting an answer, at least not a proper one. As soon as the water laps against his leg, he yelps, immediately pressing himself close to the wall and trying to scramble up it and out of the water.

.... that's absolutely not happening, for the record. Ryan can't find a handhold, much less pull himself up.]

[Sadie really shouldn't be laughing, buuut... she is anyway.

But at least while she laughs, she also makes an offer -]

[So, you know, that would definitely be a yes? Please save him from the nonexistent fish before he dies down here.]

[Well.

She can do that.

Sadie points directly at him and murmurs an ancient Egyptian word under her breath. Moments later, colorless hieroglyphs blaze in between them and some creepy, mysterious force lifts him out of the well. Spooky! Maybe it's ghosts. Fish-ghosts?

...anyway, she's going to hang out in the well a little longer in case anyone else needs her help, and Ryan can get far, far away from the fish.]
