t's pretty dark and miserable down in the well. The cavernous area feels much larger than a well should be, bodies milling about in the darkness and knee deep, frigid water. So you're here -- and you're not alone, and the only way out appears to be the thin circle of sunlight from above, the opening of the well. (And elsewhere, in the Town, everyone's waking up to gifts of various usefulness, but hopefully they remember to check the well today even so!) What now? Welcome to Awash's tenth event log, and the intro log for this month, everyone! All new characters have found themselves waking in the well in the middle of the Town. Somewhere other than here. I'm not drinking that water after that lot's been stomping around in it.

[Minato’s lips quirk in slight amusement at that.]

Yeah, don’t worry.

[He gets you.]

We’ve got some filtered water that tastes a lot better. If you don’t mind a bit of a walk, I’ll get you some.

I don't mind. These boots--

[She gestures down at her colorless combat boots.]

--were made for it, and all that jazz. Let's go.

Okay. [He got that reference, lips curved upwards ever-so-slightly.]

This way, then. The place where I'm staying is in this district over here, but you might be staying in one of the others.

[It's a mystery...]

Oh? [She raises a brow.] How will we know? Will some helpful tour guide take me to whatever district I'm meant to be in and show me the house with a flourish? You know - here is the abode of the great Sadie Kane and all that?

That'd be nice, but nah, nothing like that.

[He just takes it in stride...casually...]

But you'll like...feel more right in one district over the others. It's subtle, but you'll be able to tell when you go to all of them, trust me.

[Which is uncanny in and of itself, but it's true.]

Oh, so it's one of those instinct things. I guess that's alright.

[Not the weirdest thing she'll ever deal with.

She's so chill with this, not that Minato has room to talk about someone being chill with things they maybe shouldn't be.]

That sucks - it's a long while to be away from home. Any idea what's caused it, other than "spooky well nonsense"?

"Spooky well nonsense" is pretty right. We have a lot of guesses...?

Mostly that we're here to restore color to this place. All of the color that you see around here--that wasn't here when we first got here.

[So they're having...some sort of impact.]

It's still just a guess though.
