t's pretty dark and miserable down in the well. The cavernous area feels much larger than a well should be, bodies milling about in the darkness and knee deep, frigid water. So you're here -- and you're not alone, and the only way out appears to be the thin circle of sunlight from above, the opening of the well. (And elsewhere, in the Town, everyone's waking up to gifts of various usefulness, but hopefully they remember to check the well today even so!) What now? He's also very aware that they have a ton of issues.]

We've cleaned up the town a fair bit... it's not in danger of falling apart on us anymore, at least. We've also made a communal garden, and some people are keeping animals like chickens and geese. Ah, and there's the Defense Force, of course to patrol the town... the community board for announcements...

I think that's... it. [For six months, that's actually kind of depressed laid out like that.]

[ Sebastian listens seriously and thoughtfully, but almost immediately, he's struck with the sense of how little that is. Granted, this is when he's applying it to his own standards of what could have been done in half a year's time, but still. Considering how finicky and fragile humans were, they'll need far more than that to sustain themselves. He manages to hold back his sigh, and instead brings a hand to his mouth thoughtfully. ]

It is a start, certainly, and all quite important...

[ Hm. He looks briefly to the sky, then back to Minato ]

Forgive me. I do not say this to criticize, but rather for clarification... But has anyone begun to prepare for the possibility of winter?

[There is another long, slow pause…

(No, Sebastian. They haven’t.)]

...I see.

[ It's his first, very polite response, but there's an awkward silence after, like he doesn't know what to say. He's tempted to move on with the stereotypically awkward cough into his hand, but he resists. ]

Well. To be sure, considering I have only arrived, does this place have proper seasons...?

[He knows this is not going to help their case, and yet:]

It does, yes.

We arrived on the tail end of winter, I think... it's been summer, most recently, or something comparable to summer. But it's been cooling off a bit.

... We should have thought of that...

[ Sebastian nods lightly to agree, but he at least stays quite polite despite the fact that now he definitely thinks the town are not the best planners. ]

Well, I suppose it is good that I asked, in that case. There is still time to prepare, which I certainly recommend. Not knowing how harsh they may be, it would be especially prudent to prepare for the worst...

[ He looks to his work at hand, suddenly feeling that it's less important ]

Food stores and furs should be prioritized, I think.

Ah... right. We'll definitely have to do that.

[He has no idea how to do that.]

It probably sounds bad, since nobody really means to end up here, but I guess it's lucky for us you did...

[ Sebastian laughs a little, but there's a definite, tiny note of being tired in it. ]

So I am often told... I have a talent for putting things in order, and so I always seem to find myself in the employ of those that need it.

[ He looks around at the town ]

Though generally, I am asked beforehand. My master will be quite cross to be without me.

[... He does sound tired, not that Minato blames him. This is a tiresome situation, especially for someone who's immediately planning...better...than everyone else in Chroma.]

That's true... unfortunately, for now, we just have to make the best of the situation we're in.

[He shakes his head, frowning a bit to himself.]

For better or for worse... he'll just have to understand that you were kidnapped by a fairy tale town.

[cutlery]

[ The bluntness of the situation is appreciated, but it still gets Sebastian to scoff. It's perhaps the most genuine thing he's "said" this entire conversation, but unassumuing human butler or all powerful demon, that would probably be an entirely fair reaction... ]

Well, I cannot say he would understand it, I must admit, but I imagine when the young master arrives, I will be all the busier. That I can be quite certain of.

[ Though his choice of words may be interesting. "Will arrive." Sebastian seems fairly assured that Ciel will show up, though that's based on absolutely nothing. ]

[... He doesn't really have the heart to deny that "will arrive", all things considered, because he's assuming Sebastian wants this and that's the reason for the wishful thinking?

He is so, so wrong.]

Well... nobody will force you to do anything here, though I can't deny we could really use the help.

[ Sebastian laughs a little, then shakes his head ]

Oh, there would be no force necessary, I am sure. For better or for worse, I quite prefer being busy, so... [ He shrugs a little ] I do not imagine I will be bored, at least.
