Little Willie, mean as hell, Pushed his sister in a well. Mother said, while drawing water, "My, it's hard to raise a daughter."

t's pretty dark and miserable down in the well. The cavernous area feels much larger than a well should be, bodies milling about in the darkness and knee deep, frigid water. So you're here -- and you're not alone, and the only way out appears to be the thin circle of sunlight from above, the opening of the well. (And elsewhere, in the Town, everyone's waking up to gifts of various usefulness, but hopefully they remember to check the well today even so!) What now? Welcome to Awash's tenth event log, and the intro log for this month, everyone! All new characters have found themselves waking in the well in the middle of the Town. At the very least, you won't have to worry about food and the like. You'll find that people here are happy to share... although you may not always like the taste.

[She thinks about that for a moment, before deciding that she'll only end up wondering about it more and more if she doesn't ask.]

Okay, prepare me. When you say I might not like the taste, are we talking, like, chewing on tree bark for a meal?

Oh, no.

It's just that any food without colour tastes like ash.

...You know, somehow, that might even be worse.

[Or maybe she's just a pessimist.]

Don't worry, it's actually not that bad. Normal-coloured food tastes fine, and like I said, you'll no doubt find people willing to share.

[actually... well, since the colour of pumpkins seems to have been restored—

he takes out a participation ribbon and, with that, produces a small pumpkin out of nowhere! thanks, prize from a previous quest that was useless up until now.]

Here. If nothing else, you can smash it in frustration.

[As he takes out the pumpkin, she glances towards it before looking back up at him. There's no motion to take it, not just yet.]

...Why are you giving this to me?

I can produce one once a day and have no use for them.

[because he doesn't need to eat! hurrah.]

Other than eating them yourself...?

[Even though this entire experience has been unfamiliar to her to say the least, she's skilled with logical thinking rather than thinking outside the box; she hasn't considered yet that he doesn't need to eat, even if he doesn't look quite like a human.]

What, do you not want it?

No, that's not...

[She pauses, but then, with a sigh, reaches out to take it.]
