t's pretty dark and miserable down in the well. The cavernous area feels much larger than a well should be, bodies milling about in the darkness and knee deep, frigid water. So you're here -- and you're not alone, and the only way out appears to be the thin circle of sunlight from above, the opening of the well. (And elsewhere, in the Town, everyone's waking up to gifts of various usefulness, but hopefully they remember to check the well today even so!) What now? Welcome to Awash's tenth event log, and the intro log for this month, everyone! All new characters have found themselves waking in the well in the middle of the Town. [Give him a minute to think on that.] Nah. I'm pretty sure there's only two of three houses like that and they're pretty hard to miss. Do you even remember what district Guren's house is in?

I have no idea.

( he's doing his best, percy. at the very least: once yuu does make his way back and actually pay attention to where he's going, he won't get lost again. just this once. )

[/gently kicks my typo that sure should have said two or three...but anyway, it's fine? It's not like Percy doesn't get lost on a regular basis and has to figure out how to survive. Yuu being new and lost doesn't strike him as unusual.]

Man. [He sounds amused, actually.] When you're going through the town you might notice that some areas start looking different than others. There're signs and everything for where Bluo, Flavo and Ruga start.

Ooh, that makes sense.

( yes, like street signs. he totally Gets that shit. totally. probably should have been looking for that shit before, but. better late than never, right? )

Percy. Nice to meet you. [Walking along...] This is Bluo. There's one or two houses here that're different colors, but there's one in at least every district. We might have to check all of them.

Bluo. . ( he takes the name, acts like he's processing it but yuu's probably going to forget it in four seconds anyway. there's so much to see, his attention focuses in on visuals rather than whatever percy's saying. they're close to the water (which is mildly bad, from what he's heard. and how the water is back home. . ick) which guren's house wasn't. soo probably didn't come from this way, but. )

Any idea why some of the houses are weird like that?

[The water's weird and also possibly full of monsters and aliens. Not that Percy would know that. Absolutely not. But given Yuu seems to be processing but not volunteering that the area looks familiar, he can pick up the cue that maybe this is the wrong district.]

From what I've been told, color comes back to stuff when we accomplish quests or we work together as teams. Make bonds or whatever. All of the colors were missing when people first arrived here but as people started doing quests and making friends things started coming back.

If I had to guess? The people living in the weird-colored houses did something different than the rest of us.

Oh. ( that makes sense? like as long as he doesn't think about it too deeply it does. though honestly nothing here makes sense and nothing back home makes sense so the lack of sense is starting to feel like sense anyway. percy explains it simply, and that's always a plus, too. )

What kind of stuff have you done? Done a lot of quests, or?

[Listen, he understands this brand of protag...probably because he is this brand of protag. Nothing at home made a lot of sense a lot of the time either, so what's the point in confusing people here? Onward they go.]

I've done a ton of quests just to have stuff to do, but every now and then the town does some weird stuff on its own. Werewolves invade or sirens show up to kidnap people...portals open...you know. Totally normal stuff. [Absolutely normal.] I've done some exploring on my own, too, down in the ocean. After a while you start looking for anything that'll maybe give you an answer.

[culpa]

( sounds normal to him. )

Right, sounds. . weird, but not bad. ( all of that combined, he means. it's different from his weird but normalish. at least the apocalypse isn't happening here. )

How'd you look down in the ocean? Just. . swim in it?

( his own ocean is made out of acid and weird monsters are in it so. not safe. )

I'll take weird over bad most of the time. And yeah. Did some deep-diving, checked out who and what was down there...haven't really solved anything, but we've been getting some answers the more trips we make. If you can avoid monsters and fend for yourself it's not bad.
