Little Willie, mean as hell, Pushed his sister in a well. Mother said, while drawing water, "My, it's hard to raise a daughter."

t's pretty dark and miserable down in the well. The cavernous area feels much larger than a well should be, bodies milling about in the darkness and knee deep, frigid water. So you're here -- and you're not alone, and the only way out appears to be the thin circle of sunlight from above, the opening of the well. (And elsewhere, in the Town, everyone's waking up to gifts of various usefulness, but hopefully they remember to check the well today even so!) What now? Welcome to Awash's tenth event log, and the intro log for this month, everyone! All new characters have found themselves waking in the well in the middle of the Town. ( The smallest meow... Color Mutsunokami surprised and he reaches out to try to... pet her? The head should be around here, maybe? Or is it a stomach? Hmm. )

Whether you're a sage or a medium.. you're some spirit-y kind of guy.

( And he takes a break from trying to figure out ghost cat things to look up at Ryan. Is his spirit sense strong? Can he tell what he is, then? )

'Spirit-y kind of guy' about sums it up, yeah. Working with spirits is kind of my job.

[The cat definitely tries very hard to be pet, but his hand will most likely go through; he might still feel something there, a slight chill or a faint sort of resistance that doesn't quite manage to become solid.

Ryan, meanwhile, is watching him right back, giving him a curious look.]

I'm guessing you're not new though, yeah?

[Considering he can identify new people and also isn't confused and wet.]

( There's something there, definitely, and he sort of just... waves his hand in the air a bit. Maybe if he keeps trying, he'll get it!! )

Nah, I've been here for a little while. ( He stops waving his hand to think, ) A couple of months, maybe? It's hard to tell in this place.

( Stepping back now, he holds out his hand! )

Mutsunokami Yoshiyuki! That's me. Probably means nothing to ya, huh?

[There are more meows in response! Bianca probably thinks he's trying to play, honestly...

Ryan takes his hand without hesitation, though, with a bright smile in response.]

Sorry, no, but-- I guess Ryan Farrow doesn't mean anything to you either, so we're even, right?

[It just means they're starting from the same point, he's pretty sure.]

There's definitely something about you, though, I just... don't know exactly what yet.

( I mean, he'll definitely play with the cat too. Look, he doesn't have to see eye to eye to like someone! This is going to be a fine relationship. )

Me? ( He says it but he doesn't seem at all that surprised. If Ryan is a spirit-y guy then he's probably sensing that Mutsu himself is a spirit. But if he hasn't figured that out yet, he'll let him figure it out on his own. It'll be fun. So for now, he keeps that information to himself like an obvious secret. ) I'm a real special guy, ya know. When ya figure out why, make sure to let me know.

I can definitely tell about the special part! But- hm.

[Ryan's head tilts slightly, a finger tapping idly on his chin as he observes Mutsu carefully.]

You're not dead. At least, I'm reasonably sure you aren't dead, you don't feel like a ghost or like that sort of spirit...? I definitely haven't sensed whatever you are before, though.
