Event Ten.

Little Willie, mean as hell,
Pushed his sister in a well.
Mother said, while drawing water,
"My, it's hard to raise a daughter."

t's pretty dark and miserable down in the well. The cavernous area feels much larger than a well should be, bodies milling about in the darkness and knee deep, frigid water. So you're here -- and you're not alone, and the only way out appears to be the thin circle of sunlight from above, the opening of the well.

(And elsewhere, in the Town, everyone's waking up to gifts of various usefulness, but hopefully they remember to check the well today even so!)

What now?

Welcome to Awash's tenth event log, and the intro log for this month, everyone! All new characters have found themselves waking in the well in the middle of the Town. Hopefully they can get a hand out! For more information, please go here!

Meanwhile, the current characters have some new gifts.

If there are any questions, please ask them here, and have fun! Thank you!

Hmm. [Oh great... jokers....... Reim looks exasperated himself at the mere idea, but he nods in agreement anyway.]

I'm used to a certain level of fooling around, so it will be alright. Surely if they're asked earnestly about their opinions, they'll find time in betwen to be serious.

[Because people love talking about themselves, he means. Not because they respect town hall meetings or anything wild like that.]

So one hopes.

[ he's going to be proven wrong, she can feel it already, but she's not going to be a downer here. ]

Just don't trust any messages about a money goose and you'll get by. Even the ones more prone to joking tend to understand when it's appropriate.

A "money goose"...? I'll be careful with my messages, I suppose.

[Boy, whoever came up with a money goose is wildly immature. Who would do such a thing. He doesn't even really know what a money goose is.]

[ it is such a mystery, the world may never know, the money goose is a legend among legends. ]

Oh, and one more thing.

[ she quickly turns to her bag and pulls out a small, worn-out sad looking notepad, scavenged from when she first arrived. she pulls out an equally worn out pencil and jots down her color code, before ripping off the sheet so she can hand it to reim. ]

Our forum identification is a color code, not a name. If you need to message me, you should search for me via this code.

[Oh shit, this is the biggest tip of all time. Reim takes the paper and studies it, then looks back at the laptop, leaning toward it a little, curiously.]

How do I know which code is mine? Do they hold some deeper meaning than the six characters?

[He means, like, a fucking cipher, but the real reason is also good to know.]

All codes are displayed whenever a message is made. You'll be able to see yours that way.

[ it's a little annoying to not have a name attached, but if you can't change it then you adapt to it. she's just been signing her first message with her name so everyone knows who she is. ]

The only deeper meaning is that it reflects your 'color'. Everyone has a shade of red, blue or yellow - right now your text will be black, but in time it will reflect your code. It'll guide you in the quests to take on in restoring this world from the evil that plagues it.

[He's gonna jot these notes down...]

"The evil"? [a contemplative pen wiggle] The force that moves the forest and corrupts the animals? Would you consider that a separate entity from that which has brought us here...?

I do myself. I believe whichever force brought us here wants us to combat the one that has cursed the land.

[ she brushes back some of her hair with a rake of her fingers, and clicks her tongue. ]

The only problem is it seems content to not really give us proper guidance on how to save this world. So typical of higher powers.

Not only higher powers, but any authority... [Callout post: Reim's boss, also God.]

Well, all information is good information, at this point. This has been very helpful!
