Welcome to Awash's tenth event log, and the intro log for this month, everyone! All new characters have found themselves waking in the well in the middle of the Town. Hopefully they can get a hand out! For more information, please go here! | |
t's pretty dark and miserable down in the well. The cavernous area feels much larger than a well should be, bodies milling about in the darkness and knee deep, frigid water. So you're here -- and you're not alone, and the only way out appears to be the thin circle of sunlight from above, the opening of the well.

[ sierra won’t make her do it now, since there’s not much for her to write with out here anyway, but she does decide to briskly usher kisa along to the house with a gentle hand at her back. ]

[ she sneezes like a kitten… it’s the first noise sierra has heard the little one make, and she wonders if there is a voice in there after all. is she mute, or just quiet?

[ if there were someone else around to bully, she’d force him (because it would definitely be a him) to do it on her behalf, but she’s not opposed to hard work as long as she doesn’t think doing it would damage her reputation. this little girl won’t tattle on her. ]

Besides, it means Kisa can be helpful, so she has no qualms with nodding. If they're both going to live here, it's definitely got to be a little cleaner. ]

kisa can point to her options, since it’s not a yes or no question! sierra is being thoughtful, even if it’s not a permanent solution. ]

[ there might not be anything around to properly dust with, though… sierra isn’t so sacrificial that she’s going to use her own clothes, either. ]
Let me find some supplies, and then we’ll get to it. In the meantime, it isn’t exactly elegant, but why don’t you write your name for me on this tabletop?

[ she unhooks one of the rattier curtains from a window, fanning it out to rid it of, surprise, dust. ]
Clean this off first, and you can use it to dust. For layers like this, we’ll need a little water, so you work on making it usable while I retrieve a bucket. It’s not too heavy, is it, dear?

And now we get a cleaning montage. ]

luckily, this time, no furniture is telling them to do it. they can clean as they like, and take breaks to their content, and by sundown, they’ve got a home that finally looks—and smells—livable. parts of the house need repair, rather than cleaning, but that’s something to recruit another person for rather than try to take on themselves. sierra is strong, but not especially sturdy. ]
Well, it would be nice to have a candle and a glass of wine after all that, but I think just having sheets on the bed will do. Isn’t that nice?
