t's pretty dark and miserable down in the well. The cavernous area feels much larger than a well should be, bodies milling about in the darkness and knee deep, frigid water. So you're here -- and you're not alone, and the only way out appears to be the thin circle of sunlight from above, the opening of the well. (And elsewhere, in the Town, everyone's waking up to gifts of various usefulness, but hopefully they remember to check the well today even so!) What now? Welcome to Awash's tenth event log, and the intro log for this month, everyone! All new characters have found themselves waking in the well in the middle of the Town. Mine's Lottie. [ She nods - okay, all that's good to know. She can freak out about what all of it actually means when she's by herself, but for now she's going to try and digest the easy parts. ]

Do you guys not have any calendars or something? I can check my phone how long it's really been if you know what month it was before you.. You know.

I don't think we've had luck getting a calendar to work here. [ that doesn't make sense in explaining, so he tries again - ] It's only recently that the colours of the sunrise and the sunset were restored, for example. It's a lot harder to track days and nights like that, you know?

More than that ... I don't really think your phone will work here. [ a pause. ] Especially if you were just in the well. But you can try.

[oomfies]

Yeah, I think I get it. [ She nods, the concept completely out of her element, but at least gathering the gist of his point. ]

No water got in it so it still turns on. The calendar app should still load, probably.. [ She reaches behind her for the device, pressing a button and the home screen flashes on. Lottie pauses after she starts tapping at the screen. ] Actually, do you know where I could charge it? I couldn't find any outlets.

[tropism]

.... we're kind of luddites here, [ giorno says, laughing. ] If you find a way to make things work that'd be great.

[ as far as he knows none of the few outlets there are really work. ] Let's find your house.

[oomfies]

[ She loathes how she can't google that. What the hell does being a.. a luddite mean? Lottie laughs too, like she totally knows what he's getting at. ]

You'll definitely be the first to know, promise!

[ She'll sooner perish than let her phone die, if she understands what he's getting at correctly. ]

Oh.. It might take me a sec to pack everything again. I know the place though - "Flavo"? [ A pause, as she turns to throw her clothes in her case. She sounds completely unsure of herself. ] "Flava"?

Oh, really? I live there too. [ hmm. ] Most people tend to have housemates. If you have them, well, at least you'll have company.

If you're done packing, I've a neat trick to make the trip a lot easier.

[oomfies]

[ No... Awful! He's lucky he doesn't immediately see the pain that crosses Lottie's face at the thought of her living space being invaded. She needs at one place to be ugly before society sees her.

She manages to fix her face when she turns back, suitcase being zipped closed. ]

What, like Uber?

.... no. [ he doesn't know what an uber is, and if he knew what it was, he'd tell her that's what superman is for.

he extends a hand towards her suitcase. ] I'll show you. It's pretty neat.
