Little Willie, mean as hell, Pushed his sister in a well. Mother said, while drawing water, "My, it's hard to raise a daughter."

t's pretty dark and miserable down in the well. The cavernous area feels much larger than a well should be, bodies milling about in the darkness and knee deep, frigid water. So you're here -- and you're not alone, and the only way out appears to be the thin circle of sunlight from above, the opening of the well. (And elsewhere, in the Town, everyone's waking up to gifts of various usefulness, but hopefully they remember to check the well today even so!) What now? Welcome to Awash's tenth event log, and the intro log for this month, everyone! All new characters have found themselves waking in the well in the middle of the Town. [ She hadn't expected to run into a person, and she certainly hadn't expected said person to immediately start fussing over her, so Kisa's more than a little frozen by this treatment.

She at least remembers to nod, a little dazedly. ]

Thank goodness... Are you still wet from the well? How about any injuries?

[fuss fuss fuss, is she hungry? does she need a hug? WHO DO I HAVE TO MURDER-]

[ She's got a wee bit of a scrape on her nose and her cheeks from Unfortunate Incidents, and she is still slightly damp, but of course, she can't say any of that for herself.

Sorry, Maribelle, she's just mildly trembling now. ]

[troubadamsel]

[She frowns at the scrapes, nodding once.]

I've left my fire tome back home, but at least I can take care of your injuries.

[To wit, she holds up her healing staff.]

... With your permission. May I heal you?

[stripedown]

[ ... Heal??

Now she just looks incredibly baffled. Sure, they have curses in their family, but no one who can flat-out heal. ]

[troubadamsel]

[Understandable, she's come to learn some places just don't have magic. She holds out the staff, so Kisa can touch or inspect it if she wishes.]

I have the ability to heal wounds and injuries, and also restore your strength. But... I also know you could be very scared right now. You've been through a lot. So I don't want to do anything you're not comfortable with. All right?

[stripedown]

[ She's not wrong. Kisa's giving this staff very thorough attention, and then slowly taking a deep breath (that makes no sound whatsoever) and nodding.

Hopefully it won't hurt? ]

[troubadamsel]

Thank you.

[With what she hopes is a reassuring smile, she lifts up the staff - it glows momentarily, as does Kisa, but it's over in seconds - the smaller scrapes vanish, the pain is gone, and Kisa will feel renewed energy within her.]

There, much better.

Kisa's definitely startled by all of the above, though it only takes her a minute to bow her head gratefully.

Even if she has no idea how any of that just worked. ]
