Welcome to Awash's tenth event log, and the intro log for this month, everyone! All new characters have found themselves waking in the well in the middle of the Town. Hopefully they can get a hand out! For more information, please go here! | |
t's pretty dark and miserable down in the well. The cavernous area feels much larger than a well should be, bodies milling about in the darkness and knee deep, frigid water. So you're here -- and you're not alone, and the only way out appears to be the thin circle of sunlight from above, the opening of the well.

Quietly, no, I am afraid... By nature, wood-working is inherently noisy.
[ But he does at least bring his makeshift hammer up to rest in his hands while they talk. It's not much, but it's a slight reprieve. ]
As for farther away... I suppose so? But it would be quite arduous to have to carry things to some other, more remote location. As its midday, I did not think it would be too bad, but you do have my apologies for the disturbance.

Perhaps another hour or so...? It would at least make what is here serviceable, though I would admittedly like to make more improvements than the basic ones...

Though considering this is the general state of things, I was considering offering my skill to others. In that case, I cannot estimate it well. Perhaps I can at least apologize for the noise by fixing something in your home?

It would be one, though I would also recommend a more sustainable roofing method. I do not believe that using wood to fix anything but structure is wise, considering it may be better used for, well, a structural issue. However, I can thatch a roof in about a week's time.

Ah, and here I thought it was an apology... [ Though it's said playfully and lightly, at least. To actually answer, he nods. ] Perhaps. I will need no small amount of material to make the thatch itself, and any assistance in collecting it would certainly expedite the process. It needs to be straw, reeds, or the like—a long, thin, sturdy plant, essentially.
