Little Willie, mean as hell, Pushed his sister in a well. Mother said, while drawing water, "My, it's hard to raise a daughter."

t's pretty dark and miserable down in the well. The cavernous area feels much larger than a well should be, bodies milling about in the darkness and knee deep, frigid water. So you're here -- and you're not alone, and the only way out appears to be the thin circle of sunlight from above, the opening of the well. (And elsewhere, in the Town, everyone's waking up to gifts of various usefulness, but hopefully they remember to check the well today even so!) What now? Welcome to Awash's tenth event log, and the intro log for this month, everyone! All new characters have found themselves waking in the well in the middle of the Town. [ it’s not something she knows much about. for all the years she’s lived, she’s quite sheltered. he takes himself so seriously that she does feel like she needs to say something, though—so this time, when she touches his arm, it’s a soothing gesture, not a flirtatious one. ]

I would offer you comfort if I thought I could. [ a pause. ] You know, I had intended to feed from you, but now I wonder if I can.

[ His gaze—brows—soften at the gesture. Vampires are indeed creatures that exist in his world, although he knows far too little about them. ]

I need no comfort, my lady—your kind regard is more than I ever could have hoped for. But ah, this is quite sad…if I had been human, I would have offered myself without question.

Then you are a fool, but a fool I appreciate.

[ sierra smiles, the sharpness of humor returning to her expression. there’s no time to be sad—though it’s possibly a good sign, or at least not a bad one, that she doesn’t immediately drop him to find a more appropriate victim. ]

With our respective tragedies addressed, I’d like to continue our walk.

[ Honestly he’s glad that she’s taking all this pretty well, considering that most people would either side-eye or try to use him for their own gain. And maybe she still is, but he’s very forgiving of that in a woman.

Still, for all that he feels sad at her plight as a vampire, it’s hard not to feel a little lighter at her words. ]
