t's pretty dark and miserable down in the well. The cavernous area feels much larger than a well should be, bodies milling about in the darkness and knee deep, frigid water. So you're here -- and you're not alone, and the only way out appears to be the thin circle of sunlight from above, the opening of the well. (And elsewhere, in the Town, everyone's waking up to gifts of various usefulness, but hopefully they remember to check the well today even so!) What now? Welcome to Awash's tenth event log, and the intro log for this month, everyone! All new characters have found themselves waking in the well in the middle of the Town. [Well - in this case, she really isn't wrong! Sadie looks proud of herself.]

I can use a weapon if I need to, but Divine Words pack the most punch in my arsenal.

How do Divine Words work, if you don't mind my asking? It sounds like Solid Script, but...

[ she imagines they're actually different. ]

[Well, here they go.

Sadie glances around at their surroundings, and opting to avoid the trees (because a forest fire is no what they need right now), her gaze lands on a medium-sized rock. She points directly at it.]

Ha-di!

[A hieroglyph that should be gold but is just grey because she hasn't regained any colors yet blazes above her, and the rock explodes into itty, bitty pieces. Sadie looks proud of herself, because of course she does.]

[ ok honestly levy knows so many people with destructive magic she doesn't seem too worried...she does clap, though! ]

Oh, wow! I've only seen things sort of like that before, but the symbol definitely isn't something I've seen exactly. What does it mean?

It means "destroy". And, next...

[She points at the rubble.]

Hi-nehm!

[The little pieces fly back and rejoin themselves as another colorless hieroglyph blazes above them, creating a rock that looks more or less identical to the one that had been there before.] That means "join".

Basically, the words themselves are magic. If I find the right words, I can channel that magic to make things happen.

Oh, wow! It really is similar to my magic, then. Only my words aren't in a foreign tongue...
