Pushed his sister in a well. Mother said, while drawing water, "My, it's hard to raise a daughter." | |
Welcome to Awash's tenth event log, and the intro log for this month, everyone! All new characters have found themselves waking in the well in the middle of the Town. Hopefully they can get a hand out! For more information, please go here! |

[He looks her over, though he doesn't seem suspicious.]
I'm guessing you don't remember anything?
no subject
[As though mimicking his action, she looks him over as well, then glances up at the spot of sunlight above them.]
You, too?
no subject
[He also looks up, immediately calculating how far it is from them to the top of the well. It will take some doing, but he thinks he can climb it.]
I assumed I had been tampered with to remove any memory of how I was brought here, but it sounds like whoever put us here was able to do the same to everyone.
no subject
...Tampered with?
no subject
[He reaches up and taps a finger underneath the glowing LED light on his temple. Right now it's started flashing a shade of yellow.]
If a hacker or mechanic was able to access my memory banks, it wouldn't be all that difficult. But for a human, erasing someone's memory is generally impossible. I suppose whoever did this could have inhibited you with drugs or knocked you out, so you wouldn't be aware you were being transported.
[Yeah, just... casually bring up the idea that she might have been drugged or attacked to a teenager. This is a good idea.]
no subject
[That reaction is due to her coming from somewhere where technology won't be advanced enough for such advanced androids for a long while. Regardless, she shakes her head maybe a bit too forcefully at his reasoning.]
No way. That's not true. Just - you said you were going to get people out of here, right? So just do it or whatever. I don't have time to listen to you.
[Denial's just a river in Egypt. An unusually salty river in Egypt.]
no subject
Right.
[He looks up at the opening of the well, calculating the distance to the top. If he can get her up to the narrow opening above, she can probably climb out herself from there.]
If I lift you up to that narrow part, can you climb up out of the well?
no subject
[She absolutely does need his help and she realizes it, but she wants to at least establish this (incorrect) fact before moving any further. Still, after a moment or two of glancing up at the opening, she gives a nod.]
But I'm not going to say no if you're offering, I guess. How are you going to get up after that, though?
no subject
I'll find a way. I'm not concerned about myself.
[At least not yet, anyway. Staying in this well for too long would be... inconvenient, but nothing he can't manage.]
no subject
[That's one way to put it. Regardless, she takes a step closer towards him.]
Boost me up whenever.
no subject
[Does it really matter when they're both machines? Whatever.
Anyway, he will cup his hands together, bending at his knees so she can step in. A quick pre-construction check confirms that she'll be able to reach the neck of the well - the rest is up to her after that.]
no subject
[Or so she assumes. She glances at his hands and moves forward, but she doesn't lift her foot quite yet. Even if she doesn't have much of a choice but to trust him here, she wants something said before she does.]
I'm going to be really pissed if you drop me. Okay?
no subject
[And he has to follow his mission! He is, after all, an android.
So he'll sit here and wait patiently for her to step into his hands.]
no subject
Okay. Um, ready, or whatever.
no subject
[And with that, he'll hoist her up! He is extremely steady, which is probably not surprising, being an android.
He'll hold her while she tries to grab onto the well, watching to make sure she doesn't slip.]
Can you make it?
no subject
...Thanks.
[There's still embarrassment mixed in with the gratitude, but it doesn't stop her from going the rest of the way up the well.
...And then she waits at the top until he emerges to make sure he's going to make it up successfully. Not that she cares, or anything silly like that!!]
no subject
He scrambles not very graciously out of the well, tumbling over the side and falling on the ground before straightening back up. After he's back on his feet and dusted off, he spots her, a bit surprised she's still here.]
It's good that you're alright.
no subject
Of course I am. It's not like it was hard to get out or anything. [...] This place is already pretty trippy, though.
no subject
[This is a completely sincere question. He isn't capable of sarcasm (or is he?). But as he's looking around... it does seem like there are colors missing from certain objects. Maybe his vision is malfunctioning?
His eyelids flutter while he runs a quick scan, but... no, everything seems fine.]
Do some things seem to be... missing color, to you?
no subject
Smartass.
[But after his question, she gives a quick nod, crossing her arms over her waist.]
Yeah. It's... [Weird doesn't begin to cover it.] It doesn't make any sense, does it?
no subject
It doesn't. At first I thought I might be malfunctioning, but my diagnostics seem normal. [So that's good!] It doesn't seem like the light here is doing anything unusual, either.
[So how is it doing that?]
