Welcome to Awash's tenth event log, and the intro log for this month, everyone! All new characters have found themselves waking in the well in the middle of the Town. Hopefully they can get a hand out! For more information, please go here! | |
t's pretty dark and miserable down in the well. The cavernous area feels much larger than a well should be, bodies milling about in the darkness and knee deep, frigid water. So you're here -- and you're not alone, and the only way out appears to be the thin circle of sunlight from above, the opening of the well.

Oh man, I'd be really grateful if you could lend me a towel. Only if it's not too much trouble, though. Kinda looks like things around here are hectic enough as is, so ...
[ His words peter off with a really awkward laugh, because he's well aware he's contributing to the hectic atmosphere himself. ]

[He shrugs, and nods in a particular direction (towards the harbor) to direct Jion as they begin to walk.]
I'm just glad we can help a little. I know arriving here out of nowhere is really... unnerving? Yeah.

Jion's a little distracted casting around at his surroundings as they start walking towards the harbor; he's clearly fascinated by the place. ]

[ Said with a tone of dry amusement as he jogs a little to catch up to Minato. Wouldn't be good if he got too distracted looking around and got himself lost. ]
And well, I can't pretend I'm totally comfortable with everything that's going on, but I'm really relieved people generally seem nice. Do you guys always help out newcomers like this?

But yeah, of course. We couldn't just leave you guys in the well. We showed up in the same way, after all.
[There's some real sympathy going on--though they didn't have anyone to help them out of the well. That's probably also part of why they're so determined to help out.]
Besides... it's better to work together than not in a place like this, I think you'll find.

[ Jion's words trail off with a sympathetic noise because geez, he's having a rough enough time even with help. Still, Minato's words are pretty reassuring, and Jion nods along. ]
I get it, though. Hardships bring people together, right? That's cool! Are there like, assigned jobs or anything? Anything you think I should prepare to do?

But no, there's nothing like that. If I had to say there's anything consistent we do, it's the quests, but that's all by choice... otherwise, if you're going to take food from the communal garden, try to plant more seeds in return or get some food for the storehouse.
Nothing enforced, it's more like...a common courtesy thing?

A lot of us--the first group that showed up here, I mean... we've been here for almost half a year now, I think.
