Welcome to Awash's tenth event log, and the intro log for this month, everyone! All new characters have found themselves waking in the well in the middle of the Town. Hopefully they can get a hand out! For more information, please go here! | |
t's pretty dark and miserable down in the well. The cavernous area feels much larger than a well should be, bodies milling about in the darkness and knee deep, frigid water. So you're here -- and you're not alone, and the only way out appears to be the thin circle of sunlight from above, the opening of the well.

[ He says, way too quickly, like all innocent people do. Except he really isn't planning on doing suspicious. Yet. ]
I just, uh, was wondering. What's the deal. With all that.
[ He waves his hand vaguely in the direction of 'all that,' meaning the forest. ]

[She's grinning though so it should be pretty clear she's just pulling his leg.
She looks over at the forest.]
I think that depends on what you mean. Are you asking because you've never seen a forest before or is it this forest specifically that you're asking about?

[ It's a somewhat pouty mumble under his breath, because Jion is well aware that he must have looked suspicious. But it's not like he meant to be suspicious, okay.
He rubs a finger at the scar on his face as he glances back at the forest. ]
I've seen forests before. I was just wondering what this one was like. Like, are we allowed to go in here. And if it has any wild animals. Stuff like that.

[And then she sobers up when he asks about the forest.]
No one's going to stop you from going in and we need to sometimes for quests and to find food, but it's not a good idea to go too deep by yourself. All the animals are mutated in there and there are other dangerous things in there too.

[ Well, he's pretty sure most animals couldn't kill him too easily. But that's still pretty discomforting to hear. ]
As in ... extra legs? More eyes? [ Those are the only types of mutations he's familiar with, whether it be from chemical or radiation poisoning. ] And what kinda other things?

Things from myths or fairytales. Like banshees, werewolves, mirrors that suck people in, music boxes that make you attack each other...that kind of stuff.

[ Casting one more nervous look into the woods before edging away a half-step. ]
You sound like you're pretty used to all those, though. Do they ever come out of the woods?

They did one time but it hasn't happened again since then. But things have tried to lure us away from the town before.

[ Jion makes a bit of a face as he scuffs a hand through his hair, looking a little troubled. After a moment of thought, he looks back to Kaoru. ]
Hey, this is kind of a weird question, but do you know any way to dispose of things here?
[ Totally not suspicious. ]

I should let you know, we have a defense force here and I know someone who's hobby is solving cold murder cases.

I'm a medic. My job's helping people. ... also, even if I did kill someone, if I actually went to people and asked them how to hide a body, I'd be a really lame killer.

It's good that you're a medic though! We really don't have enough doctors here. I think Yosano-san is the only one. Before her, all we had was a giant pigeon.

You probably shouldn't believe everything people say though. Most of the people hear wouldn't play pranks, but some will do try.
