Pushed his sister in a well. Mother said, while drawing water, "My, it's hard to raise a daughter." | |
Welcome to Awash's tenth event log, and the intro log for this month, everyone! All new characters have found themselves waking in the well in the middle of the Town. Hopefully they can get a hand out! For more information, please go here! |

Also there's a joke to be made about Sabrina the Teenage Witch being naturally drawn to talking cats, but you know. Someone else can make it.
Anyway.]
Oh. You talk. ...Okay.
[She doesn't crouch down, despite the urge, because those claws look pretty wicked and it's a lot harder to retreat quickly from a crouch than it is from standing upright. Knee strain, and all.]
Did you just come out of the well? I usually offer to dry people off when they get out of there.

I do talk, and I did indeed come from the well. Two stunning observations.
[And he... yawns, because he's rude and hateful and Summer deserves a cooler cat friend.]
At least your "usual" offer is sensible. Did you bring a towel?
no subject
[She shrugs a little, pushing her cloak back off of her shoulders to free up her hands, which she holds aloft but without explicitly doing anything yet.]
I usually just evaporate the water. Same thing as the sun's doing, but a lot faster. Assuming you're interested.

[Now his other eye slides right open, because despite his casual tone... magic as he knows it simply isn't here. New world, new magic? Or could this be some type of silly trick humans like to play on one another? Hmm. He studies her for a moment, considering the many (potentially unpleasant) possibilities, before finally pushing himself to his feet. ...Paws? Whatever.]
I am curious, I suppose. And tired of this wet fur, because I am not a disgusting dog. [Give him a chance to languidly streeeeeeeetch before he looks back up at her.] ...Do as you will.

[And in the face of the implicit permission, she extends her hands toward Mogget, fingertips curling just slightly as she seems to make a sort of pulling motion with her hand, and then at last with a flick of her wrist that vaguely resembles tossing something away, the spell is complete.
As promised, where there was once water in Mogget's fur, it's now dry. Almost as though she'd pulled the water right out of it.]
See? Faster than a hair dryer.
no subject
A friendly witch? Well, well. One is never too old to learn something new.
[Or hear something new, because what the hell is a hair dryer?? He doesn't know. But instead of, like, thanking Summer for her invaluable assistance, he rubs his paw back over an ear and mildly asks:]
Speaking of learning... wherever did you learn such a useful trick?
no subject
[Luckily, drying off a cat takes a lot less effort than drying off a person; usually when she does this for people, it takes a little bit out of her, but a cat's considerably smaller size also takes considerably less magic. Nice.]
no subject
Feline finishing school.
[A dumb answer for a dumb question!]
