t's pretty dark and miserable down in the well. The cavernous area feels much larger than a well should be, bodies milling about in the darkness and knee deep, frigid water. So you're here -- and you're not alone, and the only way out appears to be the thin circle of sunlight from above, the opening of the well. (And elsewhere, in the Town, everyone's waking up to gifts of various usefulness, but hopefully they remember to check the well today even so!) What now? Welcome to Awash's tenth event log, and the intro log for this month, everyone! All new characters have found themselves waking in the well in the middle of the Town. [ "Made to do". Again, this is something that flies over his head— people shouldn't be manufactured to do anything, in his (very) hypocritical and simplistic view of things— but being self-righteous about something he doesn't understand seems counterproductive.

So. He focuses on the good segments of Jion's statements, which are "I like" and "I'm glad". They're enough to make Momo smile again, brows turned down but relatively genuine. ]

[ An idol of the people, for the people. Momo stretches, and then curls over the slope of his knees. ]

[ A couple of months??? That doesn't align at all with Momo's personal timeline, but he supposes that that's the least weird part of everything that's going on here, so he doesn't pursue that point further than he needs to; he has a feeling that plying Riku with questions isn't exactly going to be beneficial for either of them in the short or long term.

He takes the second towel and scrubs his damp hair with it this time around, using the few seconds of cover to furrow his brows just a millimeter in idle contemplation.

When he resurfaces, he's back to being easy and breezy. ]

—My head's about to explode, but I'm gonna take your word for it! You're a really bad liar, after all.

[ A teasing full-grin, as he ruffles Riku's long bangs. More than anything else, Momo is just glad that this place hasn't stolen his junior's smile from him. ]

Gaku and Ryuu are here, too? The tall duo...! [ He sits up, patting dirt off of his pants before getting back on his feet again. ] Come on, Riku! The 173 cm duo have to retaliate against those giants!

[ he pulls a face, because he totally Gets that reaction. people from early 21st-century-Earth levels of stuff just aren't built for this place. ]

Everything here is on like, medieval levels of tech? So I mean, it's a steep adjustment curve to climb, not gonna lie.

[ she says it with a smile, but it’s hard to tell if she’s joking or if she actually has such lofty goals… she’ll probably change her mind when she finds out about the werewolves, but for now, she offers her hand lightly for a kiss. ]

[His eyebrows raise slightly, but he does not press further. Perhaps the 'something else' is simply too difficult or uncomfortable to explain. The man does seem a touch uncomfortable, laughing nervously.
And if answering questions about himself will ease him, then Tonbokiri will help in whatever small way he can. And this man wonders about such curious details!]

It would be convenient, however we do eat and sleep. We can go without for longer than a normal human, however it is now part of our upkeep.
I consider it a blessing, being able to experience such things. Food in particular can be fascinating... As for here, however, so long as you have food that is coloured, it will taste fine. Colourless food tastes like ashes, and is most disappointing.

[He will never completely forgive the town for hiding a colourless filling inside his daifuku.]

[ Whoa! He's not really afraid of heights, but that certainly startled him.

He has a friend who spends all his time floating around, but this is the first time he's ever seen or experienced someone outright fly. ]

I'm Kryptonian. ( he says simply, as if that'll make everything make sense. ) So I can fly and I'm super strong and stuff.

( there's a loose lift of jon's shoulders before he's taking mogget deep inside. there's another cat they pass by--a short hair tuxedo, who pays them no mind as they enter. alfred the cat is great, used to strange stuff happening all the time. passing through the living room, they go right by krypto, too: a large, white dog who seems to be having the time of his life rolling around against some blankets piled on top of the couch. jon gives him a quiet "hey, krypto!" in greeting before passing him up, too.

and takes mogget right into the tiny nook of a bedroom, grabbing a makeshift brush off the top of a stand and a towel off a chair before sitting himself down with the cat still on his lap. )

Let's get you cleaned up.

Haha, not really! He's my dad's dog, too. I think he's been alive since. . forever and a half ago, so!

( probably older than jon himself, and no one can really train krypto. he does as he wants. a little dumb, maybe, but a good boy. but he does raise a hand up off of the dog to wave to tristian. )

Nobody can tell you what to do here. You'll have to figure it out for yourself. But... once you get settled in, I think it will be easier.

[The glimmering flickers, off, on, off, on, as the shuriken rolls back and forth over his knuckles. When it stops, his arm lowers, and his attention turns toward the voice.

The bird(?) is a surprise, the tuna even more of a surprise.

Carefully, he comes down from the highest portion of the building as if he's a normal person walking along the street. His feet stop him at the edge of the lowest roof, just above Noctis and the chocobo.]

I'm not stuck. [The only visible black eye shifts to the chocobo, the tuna.] Fishing?

[Smart boy. Sasuke's lips rise at the edges in a smile, but he turns away before most of it can be seen. This time, he takes up a majority of the lead, letting himself be pulled along.]

I'm sure that will change if there's a sign on the board marketing a defense force. It could have been made for preemptive measures, but I doubt it.

[Outside, he makes sure Nico is caught up, and then he begins their trek toward Flavo. The walk won't be so bad considering they're side by side along one edge. Things will just go from pleasant red and burgundies--mostly--to offending yellows where color has sprouted.]

[ Wow, that balance is impeccable. Noctis can't help but watch as the shadow rises to reveal a man, and he recognises the shuriken -- briefly; it's a much smaller version used by one of his ancestors, and he watches, interested.

He looks up at him now, while Spot starts to preen. ]

Yeah, I was just gonna get home to cook it. You want some?

[ He pauses now, tilting his head at him. ] You new here?

For a second, Sasuke pauses, as if the sheer volume and excitement of Momo's voice will make the boards under his feet squeak. At first, he doesn't respond, but instead listens for any movement of whatever Momo's call may have disturbed. He'd have the advantage. Momo's location sounds different, and they wouldn't be expecting him in the hall.

But nothing even so much as breathes at all. Sasuke keeps his hand on the hilt of the sword at his back, and his feet are silent as he continues. It's a super good thing Momo isn't dealing with angsty, unruly teenage Sasuke.

Finally:] Go ahead. [Except Sasuke's voice rebounds from another area of the house in which he initially left. Man, he moves fast, doesn't he?]

[That's a solid answer. Usually when he ends up in someplace new Percy scouts the area without a solid destination in mind to get a lay of the land. Knowing how this town works though, it's maybe better to advise differently.]

Well. There's the harbor, the gardens, and some of the storage units people have set up for stuff that we're finding. Plus the forest but that's not really a place people need to disappear into on their first day. Are you hungry?

[Haha wait until he tells her that Frank's Roman. That'll really blow her mind.]

Actually, I'm pretty sure the main thing they teach us is how to get really good at dodging deadly blows. [A joke, but also that's what Percy spends a lot of his time doing.] Expecting the unexpected doesn't do any good when the unexpected keeps getting weirder and weirder.
