t's pretty dark and miserable down in the well. The cavernous area feels much larger than a well should be, bodies milling about in the darkness and knee deep, frigid water. So you're here -- and you're not alone, and the only way out appears to be the thin circle of sunlight from above, the opening of the well. (And elsewhere, in the Town, everyone's waking up to gifts of various usefulness, but hopefully they remember to check the well today even so!) What now? Welcome to Awash's tenth event log, and the intro log for this month, everyone! All new characters have found themselves waking in the well in the middle of the Town. [That's one way to get a fairies attention. Since they felled so many of their kind, he doesn't think more are going to come out.

Unfortunately, his voice is still gone. So he has to settle with shrugging and pointing back at the town.

[Rescuing people is part and parcel of what she does, so she’s all business as she makes sure he’s holding on tight. She can always tease him for being flustered later. For now though she smiles like the adult she knows herself to be in the self-assured way of a someone who obviously isn’t an adult at all.]

You’re welcome. Hold on tight, okay? [One more adjustment of his grip and Shiho squeezes the trigger on the gun to start reeling the wire back in until she can catch the lip of the well. Using the wires though she continues to pull just in case he doesn’t have the strength to get himself over, careful to make sure he’s balanced and won’t fall right back.]

[Even trying not to tell everything, Yuu inadvertently tells everything--sort of. Sasuke hasn't ever heard the term seraph used, so he's not exactly sure what Yuu means by it specifically.

But Yuu seems to have an undying loyalty in Guren, and Sasuke can settle with that for now.] "Happen"?

The demon-- [Sasuke's assumption is because he had his own "demon" in a way, a long time ago. A curse.] --does it get out of control?

I'm so sorry. [ he had thoughtlessly commented on something that seemed innocuous enough, but what yuu had said confirms what giorno thought, either way. whatever woke them up made them desperate enough to form a system of government to make their appetites efficient. he sees no way out of it unless you kill the vampires one by one, or you turn into something like them, or more powerful than the monsters that they are and kill them, and on that point he agrees - any measure of power needed to kill and protect is something giorno appreciates.

that being said, he thinks on crowley and how he'd described that blood has many different tastes, and how he's more than powerful enough to kill everyone. does this boy know about vampires in this town? giorno decides he won't get involved in that; he'll let him find out in his own time and make his own decisions with it.

and if this kid knows other people in this town then that'll be their problem as well. what a conundrum. best to keep that to himself for now. ] But that means you're in the middle of a war before you got here. I doubt there's a way of returning at this point - you'll have to make do with living with people you know and don't know.

When I get my hands on them, I will. [ he sounds so amused as he says it.

as for that question, giorno just shrugs. ] Who knows. I haven't been here long enough to find out.

[Really, Sarada needs as many girl friends as possible, being stuck with Boruto and Mitsuki... It's as awful as Sakura being stuck with him and Naruto. Sad. Someone help these ladies life their best life.]

She isn't a bad daughter. [But he pauses like before, in a thoughtfully uncertain way. Something about the visible part of his face softens, eye downcast from Kaoru's gaze. And then he looks up and off, frowning.] Work keeps me busy.

I... haven't been home very much. To protect our village, I need to do some things elsewhere.

[He hopes Kaoru understands what he means without being so detailed. He's a deadbeat dad, too. End him.]

[ he frowns at him when that's the first thing that he asks about and not anything magic-related, because that means a heftier explanation on giorno's part. he crosses his legs on his seat and leans back as he explains himself thoughtfully. ]

No, I wouldn't say that. For the record, there are better healers in this place than I am and I will always recommend people to go to others before making the trip to see me.

That being said, if you do get injured, I can heal you by recreating living organs to meld with your body. [ a pause. ] Do you know Frankenstein? That story, that doctor? It's like that.

Yeah, let's get out of here.

[They didn't get too far into the forest, so it's easy to start making their way back to what passes for civilization around here. Jotaro is way more confident than anyone who nearly got their ass kicked should be--he knows to be more careful next time, and that's way more important than how little he contributed to the fight.]

[He's trying very hard to speak the entire time they walk back to the town. It takes him until they get there until his voice returns.] fairies- It's back! The fairies seem weak to physical attacks, in case you want to do this quest again.

[No one’s ever called her a fairy thing before.... and it shows in the way she stops for a moment, nothing to say until she rallies, hands on her hips. He seemed harmless enough for now even if flattering people came much too easily to him.]

Had a lot of run-ins with fairies, have you? And do you actually know happier songs or are you trying to keep up your image?

[ Oh boy. Things are moving a little fast, and Jion holds out a hand to try and get Giorno to slow down. ]

Wait -- wait a sec. [ Pause as he organizes his thoughts. ] Uh. Okay. First off, yeah, I know Frankenstein. And second, I, um ... I really already have more than enough organs. Trust me.

[ He awkwardly rubs at the back of his neck as he continues. ] Anyway, I probably won't need it, I heal fast. But what do you mean by recreating living organs? And ... meld? You're not talking about just sewing them in, right? Is this some sort of not-human thing?

[ninjanature]

[Briefly, the mellowed existence of his face is sucked dry and replaced by the most deadpan, scary look which is shot over the top of Momo's head and through the fabric of time and space toward a particular person not present.

Somewhere, the Seventh Hokage gets chills and isn't sure why.

And then Sasuke's face softens at the edges, though the line of his brows are still a bit playfully irritated.] Naruto. A loser. [Without waiting, he turns maybe five degrees and begins to walk again, letting Momo hurry along after him like before.]

If he shows up, tell him I'm looking for him.

Everybody thinks they have enough organs until they get fatally injured, or something gets amputated. [ giorno, what. ] But it's nice that you can heal. My friends used to just staple each other's wounds shut with a heavy-duty stapler until they realized I could probably do a better job.

[ but he does make a rather amused face at 'sewing them in'. does he look like that kind of a guy? before he answers all of that - giorno folds his arms over his chest. ] Alright, describe to me the process of how you heal. I'll try to draw connections from there.

Maybe I'll find out. [he was literally just warned not to go in, why does he have to be like this.]

[It seems like a weird place for the spell to wear off, but Jotaro makes a note of it anyway.]

I'd figured that out. Didn't do me much good, but if I do do it again I'll know to watch my back and bring something I can whack 'em with.

You could get away with just punching them. Things that rely on magic are often weak to physical attacks and vice versa.

[ Jion doesn't easily get annoyed by what other people say, but it feels like Giorno is being condescending about -- of all things -- him not having enough organs, and he can't help frowning. ]

Look, I have three hearts and four lungs. And probably, like, two and a half livers right now. That is enough.

[ Nope, bad move, he shouldn't be getting annoyed at his new roommate. Jion huffs out an exhale to calm down before continuing more patiently. ]

I'm an engineered unit. Genetically modified. I just ... heal from most injuries and produce extra organs, that's how I'm built. Is that enough information?

I'm very good at looking after reckless vagabonds, that's all.

[ he makes for an Okay babysitter. ] And you're interesting. It'd be a shame if we lost you so soon because if an ill-timed sojourn to the deep.
