t's pretty dark and miserable down in the well. The cavernous area feels much larger than a well should be, bodies milling about in the darkness and knee deep, frigid water. So you're here -- and you're not alone, and the only way out appears to be the thin circle of sunlight from above, the opening of the well. (And elsewhere, in the Town, everyone's waking up to gifts of various usefulness, but hopefully they remember to check the well today even so!) What now? Welcome to Awash's tenth event log, and the intro log for this month, everyone! All new characters have found themselves waking in the well in the middle of the Town. I said Netherworld. But... your Underworld? Are you the president or overlord of one of them?

[He's aware there are plenty of other Netherworlds out there, attached to plenty of other Earths. It wouldn't be impossible for a human to become an overlord, but that would have to be one very powerful human. Perhaps made strong from the bonds of loyalty?

There will be plenty of time to worry about that later.]

Netherworld... Underworld. Different names for the same general concept of an afterlife.

[ He shrugs as if it isn't a big deal what it's called. Though there is probably a difference in the Underworld Nico is talking about and the Netherworld Val is thinking of.

A quiet hum at the question because it's not his Underworld. Nico will likely never rule it even if his father did step aside. Someone like Thanatos would sit on the throne instead. ]

I think it's stupid to be greedy and ambitious, but maybe they're having more fun that way? Or maybe there's something they find more appealing than just doing their jobs?

Anything less than that makes them no better than humans.

I'm not aware of what those are. But we do tend to find new food with finished quests as well, so it might be in the stores, just overlooked.

Thankfully, bees don't quite have the level of higher thinking humans possess. Their dormancy with the genjutsu is nice, wholesome. Okuni, on the other hand...]
