Intro Log.

Pussy's in the well. Who put her in? Little Johnny Thin. Who pulled her out? Little Tommy Stout. What a naughty boy was that, To try to drown poor pussy cat, Who never did him any harm, But killed all the mice in the farmer's barn.
Welcome to Awash's first intro log, everyone! Please review the FAQ and rules before playing. Characters have all woken at the bottom of the well in the middle of the town (which seems a lot bigger on the inside, somehow), and it looks like they'll have to put in some work to get out.

ou wake in knee-deep water, cold as ice and stagnant, in a space that is far too echoey and spacious. It feels like a massive cave, but looking up... there's only one small, circular opening that shows grey sky and shines any sort of light.

No kidding. Anyone'd be mad after getting stuck in a well.
[ Though Yata at least seems less 'pissed' and more 'grumpy' right now. He's had time to cool off - or warm up, as it were. ]
But we might need a bigger fire, soon. There's more of us than I thought.

[They're on their own. Keith crosses his arms before looking around, frowning.]
Bet we could find stuff we could burn. [Some of the buildings must have furniture, right?]

I made this out of a fence.
[ Indeed, there's still some bits of wood that are obviously fence planks in the pile of firewood next to him. ]
We'd probably have to go inside to get more, though...
[ And he sounds pretty unsure about that prospect. Stealing a knocked down fence is one thing, but actually breaking into houses is another. What if they're not actually abandoned? ]
no subject
[And Keith has no real compunctions about raiding empty houses. And from the looks of things, these buildings are definitely on the run down not-been-touched-in-forever type.]
Might be a good way to find out if we really are alone here.

I saw a few places that looked like they might have something. Wanna check 'em out?
no subject
[Little bit of breaking and entering and looting, huh? Though for a good cause. People are going to be cold and wet, and hypothermia would complicate a lot of things.
Besides it does seem like this place is fully abandoned.]
no subject
Come on, this way.
[ The house he leads him to is one of the ones in the Flavo district - though Yata isn't exactly thinking of it like that so much as he regards it as 'that weird one with the dirt roads' - and is one of the first ones they come across. The house itself is practically falling down, and the fence surrounding the front yard is pretty obviously the one Yata looted for firewood earlier. ]
In here. I don't think anyone could live in this even if they wanted to.

You've got a point. It looks like it's ready to fall in on itself.
[So a good place to start. Keith makes his way up to the door, trying it and finding it open, pushing the door open. It's clear no one has been here in a very long time.]
...yeah no one's home.
no subject
Even if they were, you think they'd complain about us taking anything? This place is a wreck.
[ Even more than it seemed outside. Yata cautiously tests his weight on the floorboards. They creak ominously, but hold. ]
no subject
[Keith doesn't stop to think so long enough to be anything but bold. But he does at least hesitate as he steps inside, listening to be sure he doesn't hear any other movement.
Or any cracking of the admittedly suspect floorboards.]
Ha. That's a good point. So let's see what we've got.
[Keith has his eyes on the kitchen. Maybe there's a table and some chairs.]
