Intro Log.

Pussy's in the well. Who put her in? Little Johnny Thin. Who pulled her out? Little Tommy Stout. What a naughty boy was that, To try to drown poor pussy cat, Who never did him any harm, But killed all the mice in the farmer's barn.
Welcome to Awash's first intro log, everyone! Please review the FAQ and rules before playing. Characters have all woken at the bottom of the well in the middle of the town (which seems a lot bigger on the inside, somehow), and it looks like they'll have to put in some work to get out.

ou wake in knee-deep water, cold as ice and stagnant, in a space that is far too echoey and spacious. It feels like a massive cave, but looking up... there's only one small, circular opening that shows grey sky and shines any sort of light.

[ Yata lifts the pole from off his shoulder. ]
I showed up with it. Bet you could find one, though.
[ Yata managed to shatter the entire window with that strike, so aside from a few clinging bits of glass it's easy to step through. ]

[Well, he'll place his hands down somewhere without lingering glass bits to vault himself into the store and take a cursory look around. It... looks like trash. Great. He picks up the nearest can, frowning at it.]
Hey, this label's blank! What the hell? [Are they all like this...? So far, they are.]

As for the cans... ]
Just gotta open 'em up and see what's inside, right?
[ He picks up a few of the cans himself, making sure to select a variety of sizes. ]
We probably can't afford to be picky for a while.

[Generic gray label is not a helpful label. He leans around the shelf to look for a can opener anyway, just to see if maybe they can check that these are definitely edible food items and not garbage.]
You see a can opener?
no subject
[ That doesn't actually make much sense.
As for a can-opener, there's not one in immediate view. Yata steps around into the next aisle and, after a moment of rummaging, holds a churchkey-style can opener up above the shelves. ]
Found one!
[ It's a little gross and rusty (that's probably rust, at least) but it should work just fine. ]

[It seems illogical buuuut it's not like he can explain it, so whatever, maybe they got rid of words. Clearly that doesn't apply to them the way the no color doesn't apply to them either, since his jacket still has random words all over it.
Anyway that sure isn't a twisty can opener...] That's it? D'you know how to use that without cutting your hand?
[He asks perhaps from experience..... fuck can openers.]
