ou wake in knee-deep water, cold as ice and stagnant, in a space that is far too echoey and spacious. It feels like a massive cave, but looking up... there's only one small, circular opening that shows grey sky and shines any sort of light. It looks like a long trip upwards, a small cylinder with walls of brick that's just a little too high to reach, even when jumping. Getting out is probably going to be a bit of a task, especially considering the water is more than cold enough to make limbs go numb. The dark makes it impossible to see much further, but the space seems large, all filled with water, but with no other way out, stone walls the only thing for an intrepid explorer to find. But most importantly of all... you're not alone. Welcome to Awash's first intro log, everyone! Please review the FAQ and rules before playing. Characters have all woken at the bottom of the well in the middle of the town (which seems a lot bigger on the inside, somehow), and it looks like they'll have to put in some work to get out. Once out, they'll be free to explore the various locations the Town has to offer at will. Just try not to die on any of the far-too-rickety walkways. Well, I don't really intend to charge for it. If I can keep up a high caloric intake, then I'll happily make what we need to get by.

I mean, what we "need" is one thing, but there'll be things people "want", too. Since, like, if it's someone's birthday you can't really go to the store...well, you can if you want canned gray food or like, mostly moth-eaten clothes, maybe.

The other two guys I talked to who mentioned quirks both mentioned the hero program. Kid with kinda green hair and a kid with white and red hair?

So it seems. It's a little hard to imagine a world without them, though. I suppose you mean reality?

Different realities, different universes - take your pick, honestly. I'm not sure which way would be the most accurate.

Yep. Houston, Texas, specifically. So. The United States?

Ah. I'm from Japan. I've never been to America...but I've always wanted to?

Oh, yeah? Any parts in particular? Texas as an answer will obviously get you bonus points, because I'm a biased fuck.

Honestly, I've always wanted to see all the tourist trap places?

That is exactly the kind of thing I am in for. Or like, a dude with a beard of bees? This is just the kind of tour crap you cannot get on a normal sort of tour, with like, historical battle sites or something way less fun.

I've only heard about that stuff. But yes, I think I'd like to see it.

Also, I think I'd like to see the Space Needle? I've heard it's amazing at night.

I've actually always wanted to go there, too. [ dave's lips quirk up into an almost smile. ] My best friend from when we were kids lives in Washington, and I used to think it'd be cool to go out there and have him show me around? I've gotten post cards with the needle on them before, too.
