Intro Log.

Ding, dong, bell,
Pussy's in the well.
Who put her in?
Little Johnny Thin.
Who pulled her out?
Little Tommy Stout.
What a naughty boy was that,
To try to drown poor pussy cat,
Who never did him any harm,
But killed all the mice in the farmer's barn.

ou wake in knee-deep water, cold as ice and stagnant, in a space that is far too echoey and spacious. It feels like a massive cave, but looking up... there's only one small, circular opening that shows grey sky and shines any sort of light.

It looks like a long trip upwards, a small cylinder with walls of brick that's just a little too high to reach, even when jumping. Getting out is probably going to be a bit of a task, especially considering the water is more than cold enough to make limbs go numb.

The dark makes it impossible to see much further, but the space seems large, all filled with water, but with no other way out, stone walls the only thing for an intrepid explorer to find.

But most importantly of all... you're not alone.

Welcome to Awash's first intro log, everyone! Please review the FAQ and rules before playing. Characters have all woken at the bottom of the well in the middle of the town (which seems a lot bigger on the inside, somehow), and it looks like they'll have to put in some work to get out.

Once out, they'll be free to explore the various locations the Town has to offer at will. Just try not to die on any of the far-too-rickety walkways.

Further information can be found here at the OOC post, and don't forget to greet your fellow players here!

[ She might have looked him over if he kept moving, but as she does a glance of the surrounding area as Artemisia finishes up, she would be remiss to not notice the color standing out against the gray of the world. Mitsuru manages to catch the tail end of his flamingo impression, her own eyes narrowing.

He's just standing there.

Well.

She calls out to him, tone serious. ]

Yes?

...

[He's just gazing right back and, after she calls out, he calmly squares his shoulders and approaches. Not too close, but close enough he doesn't have to yell.]

My apologies. You have an... interesting companion, so I could not help but stop.

[how to ask "is that a persona" without asking "is that a persona??"]

[ She's appropriately on guard, but she also understands the curiosity. This isn't something she would normally be flaunting in public, but given the nature of the situation and the fact that she's able to use her Persona so easily, it seemed necessary.

She nods, accepting his response. ]

That's understandable. I had debated whether to call her or not, however the situation is increasingly...troubling.

Would you mind if I asked... what precisely she is?

[He's managed to get there subtly... good.

He's not going to be Ryuji shouting they're phantom thieves everywhere!]

[ Not that she's expecting him to know, but... ]

She's a Persona. It's--

[ And on cue, Artemisia straightens. ]

Scan complete.

[ A small, bluish screen appears in front of Mitsuru's face, displaying the information from the scan. The area around them doesn't have anything of real importance, except...

...two meters on the small map is a target with a recognizable ability.

Two meters.

Where he's standing? ]

A Persona...

[Yusuke murmurs the word to himself.

So it truly is another Persona-user. He didn't think there were any others. She's not, like, being shifty like CERTAIN OTHER PEOPLE so he's not inclined to be suspicious, but how to approach it...

Belatedly he notices the screen in front of her face and looks inquiringly at her.

Why does he have the feeling like he's being paid attention to...]
