ou wake in knee-deep water, cold as ice and stagnant, in a space that is far too echoey and spacious. It feels like a massive cave, but looking up... there's only one small, circular opening that shows grey sky and shines any sort of light. It looks like a long trip upwards, a small cylinder with walls of brick that's just a little too high to reach, even when jumping. Getting out is probably going to be a bit of a task, especially considering the water is more than cold enough to make limbs go numb. The dark makes it impossible to see much further, but the space seems large, all filled with water, but with no other way out, stone walls the only thing for an intrepid explorer to find. But most importantly of all... you're not alone. Welcome to Awash's first intro log, everyone! Please review the FAQ and rules before playing. Characters have all woken at the bottom of the well in the middle of the town (which seems a lot bigger on the inside, somehow), and it looks like they'll have to put in some work to get out. Once out, they'll be free to explore the various locations the Town has to offer at will. Just try not to die on any of the far-too-rickety walkways. [Izuku was probably right. Whatever had taken the color from the town also blurred the letters away on the newspaper. But maybe there was a way to get the color back....?

When Izuku tries to reassure her, she beams back at him with a smile. She wasn't anywhere close to giving up, but the reminder is appreciated. She wasn't the only one looking, after all.]

[That's the spirit! Izuku looks pleased that his words have been well-received, smiling as he stands up and brushes himself off. Whew, that's a lot of dust.]

So...it looks like newspapers and anything else printed is a dead end. Let's do something else instead! Um, like... fishing! Why don't we look around for fishing rods that you can use?

[Estelle also stands, dusting off her knees before grinning.]

You want to help? Alright! We might not have information, but with a rod and a lake nearby, I can definitely get us some roast fish going.

[She seems pretty confident in the fact that she can catch something, doesn't she?]

[His stomach chooses that moment to growl, and Izuku wraps his arms around his midsection with a blush.]

Roast fish sounds pretty good right about now... I haven't eaten anything since this morning.

[And then he's perking up again.] I bet a lot of people haven't had anything to eat all day either. If we manage to find some fishing rods, you think we can catch some to share with everyone else?

[As if it's infectious, Estelle's stomach shortly follows with very loud and unladylike growl of it's own. All this talk of food is making her hungry....]

Eheheh... same here, honestly.

[She needs her three square meals a day and snack breaks in between!]

But yeah, that's the plan. I wouldn't dream of only fishing up something for me.
