Intro Log.

Pussy's in the well. Who put her in? Little Johnny Thin. Who pulled her out? Little Tommy Stout. What a naughty boy was that, To try to drown poor pussy cat, Who never did him any harm, But killed all the mice in the farmer's barn.
Welcome to Awash's first intro log, everyone! Please review the FAQ and rules before playing. Characters have all woken at the bottom of the well in the middle of the town (which seems a lot bigger on the inside, somehow), and it looks like they'll have to put in some work to get out.

ou wake in knee-deep water, cold as ice and stagnant, in a space that is far too echoey and spacious. It feels like a massive cave, but looking up... there's only one small, circular opening that shows grey sky and shines any sort of light.
no subject
... It opens. Well, okay.]
I'm from Iwatodai. [A beat, and he glances at Noct, before adding to be safe:] In Japan. [It's not going to help.]
What about you?
no subject
Uh -- Lucis. In... Eos. [ He's not sure if that helps, either, but it's good to know that this phenomenon doesn't seem to be limited to his own world. Then: ]
I'm Noctis.
no subject
...]
Minato. My name's Minato.
[...uh.]
Sorry--where's... Eos again?
no subject
It's... a planet. [ He clarifies. Don't ask him its coordinates in the solar system, buddy, he has no idea. ] You don't know it too, huh?
no subject
Dang.]
No... I've never heard of it.
[...Minato shakes his head, rummaging around the house he stuck his head into and finally, successfully emerging with a blanket.
it's pretty dusty, but he'll just kind of try to shake all of that dust off before he actually uses it to dry off.]
I guess we really are from really, really different places. It's a little hard to believe still, but...
[Too many things that just can't be explained at all, really.]
no subject
[ He's contemplative -- there's nothing to be done for it right now, right? It only makes things more confusing. What's happening around here? Who was it that brought them from different worlds, getting them all here?
Noctis takes care to wait, but peers into the empty house after he's emerged from it, puzzled. ]
D'you think there were people here before us?
no subject
[He glances around the house as well, head tilted.]
What else would these houses be for? But... It seems like they've been gone a really, really long time.
[A beat, and softly:]
I wonder where they went...
no subject
Maybe they're all dead, and they're bound for an unpleasant surprise somewhere down the line. Or maybe they all ran away. The possibilities are endless, and disturbing. Noctis shifts, before he starts off towards another set of buildings, waiting for his new companion in case he wants to come along. ]
Maybe. But it looks like it hasn't been lived in for a long time.
no subject
But naturally Minato follows along, blanket draped over his shoulders now like a cape. Why not, really...]
You got that right...
[He tilts his head, expression contemplative.]
Maybe if we figure out where they went, we can figure out how we got here, too.
