Pussy's in the well. Who put her in? Little Johnny Thin. Who pulled her out? Little Tommy Stout. What a naughty boy was that, To try to drown poor pussy cat, Who never did him any harm, But killed all the mice in the farmer's barn.
Welcome to Awash's first intro log, everyone! Please review the FAQ and rules before playing. Characters have all woken at the bottom of the well in the middle of the town (which seems a lot bigger on the inside, somehow), and it looks like they'll have to put in some work to get out.

ou wake in knee-deep water, cold as ice and stagnant, in a space that is far too echoey and spacious. It feels like a massive cave, but looking up... there's only one small, circular opening that shows grey sky and shines any sort of light.

The only thing I know of that's powerful enough to do this is one of the Sept-Terrions, but I...don't think that's it, here.
[ The pieces don't fit right. And maybe it's just that he's missing information, but... ]

[He's already accepted that this is a thing.]

Most forces wouldn't have a compelling reason to go...beyond the borders, like that.
[ The idea of different worlds entirely is weird, but he can accept that there's not a better explanation at hand. The cultural differences with the people he's talked to so far are already enough to establish that he and Estelle are likely the only Zemurians here.
(Like, meters? Who the heck calls an arge a "meter"?) ]

[Like a certain dark aspect of humanity he knew. Tch.]
Well then, perhaps exploration is the best way to proceed. Although I admittedly do not trust these boats.

[ Joshua's not exactly a sailor, but he has a little bit of experience boating. If there's nobody with real knowledge here, he'd be as good a person as any to attempt any naval exploration.
And he is sure as hell not about to do so in any of these. ]
The forest will be easier to explore. But I suspect we'll want to fix some of these sooner or later.
no subject
[Rich people do not fix things, they buy them.]
How are you with defense? Should we run into something in the forest?
no subject
[ ...which is an understatement, to be honest. ]
I'm gonna assume nothing happened to them since Kei wasn't aware about the shadow creatures
/thumbs up
[ For instance: time to build a water filter! ]
