ou wake in knee-deep water, cold as ice and stagnant, in a space that is far too echoey and spacious. It feels like a massive cave, but looking up... there's only one small, circular opening that shows grey sky and shines any sort of light. It looks like a long trip upwards, a small cylinder with walls of brick that's just a little too high to reach, even when jumping. Getting out is probably going to be a bit of a task, especially considering the water is more than cold enough to make limbs go numb. The dark makes it impossible to see much further, but the space seems large, all filled with water, but with no other way out, stone walls the only thing for an intrepid explorer to find. But most importantly of all... you're not alone. Welcome to Awash's first intro log, everyone! Please review the FAQ and rules before playing. Characters have all woken at the bottom of the well in the middle of the town (which seems a lot bigger on the inside, somehow), and it looks like they'll have to put in some work to get out. Once out, they'll be free to explore the various locations the Town has to offer at will. Just try not to die on any of the far-too-rickety walkways. [If only we could be talking about something reasonable. Okuyasu shrugs, sticking his hands in his pockets, affecting the most casual Look he can manage before his next step takes him abruptly a couple yards forward as he keeps walking.

Which would look really cool and impressive if not for the distracting element of the big tin can footballer that appears hovering behind him and swipes aggressively at the space in front of him just before he zips forward.

[Whoa, neat!! Okuyasu looks genuinely impressed for a second before he pauses, looks up at the big guy, back at Dave, repeats.

You can see The Hand? [Capital T-H "The Hand," very important. He even jerks his thumb at it, helpfully, as if anything else here could be The Hand.]

Is it supposed to be stealth?? I think you have to be less big and shiny to be stealth. Maybe put on some camouflage??

[Blue sports man just hovers there with the same mildly gloomy expression, whole Okuyasu rubs his chin very thoughtfully. Okay... so... not a Stand user, because Stand users don't ask what the hell Stands are, so this whole town is completely fucking with him. Got it.]

Does this look fucking imaginary to you? [The Hand is cool and intimidating!! For emphasis, it even looms forward some over his shoulder, still making the same vacant, staring face. Hello.

Okuyasu needs a moment here to puzzle over how to explain Stands besides "punch ghost," uh--] Y'know how people talk about your "fighting spirit" sometimes? Well, I got a real one.

[That is actually a superb question, and Okuyasu's momentary annoyance about Imaginary Friends is immediately quelled. He looks up at it... and The Hand holds out, appropriately, a hand for a super sick fist bump.]

[This is the fist bump to end all fist bumps. It's over; this is the peak bump of fists, nothing else will ever compare. The Hand's face unfortunately is not actually capable of looking cheery about this, but Okuyasu looks pretty pleased with himself in turn. Hell yes, check it out.]

Come on, the other thing was way cooler. [He says this, but he's bullshitting... the fist bump is Pretty Sick.]

A bench'll work. Uh, don't get in the way if you want to keep being in the real world?

[There's now a bench here, conveniently where it has been out of frame until now, and Okuyasu and his floaty pal approach it. There's not any showmanship to speak of, just The Hand making a big, sweeping arc as it swipes at said bench, which is then momentarily missing a big chunk in the middle. It's just for a second before the two pieces snap together and form a solid, but slightly shorter bench.]

[ HUH. dave, for all he is a complete dork and kind of weird, is actually pretty bright on the whole. so after a second: ]

So his schtick is erasin' shit? The space in which you had left to walk, most of that bench...

Yeah! ["erasing shit" is the way he'd explain it himself, so-- great! Good job!! Okuyasu is thrilled, because his Stand is just so cool.] The Hand cuts it away, then the leftovers snap back into place.

[He emphasizes this with a hand gesture that's just aggressively clapping, but it's pretty basic except for deleting matter from existence, anyway.]
