Pussy's in the well. Who put her in? Little Johnny Thin. Who pulled her out? Little Tommy Stout. What a naughty boy was that, To try to drown poor pussy cat, Who never did him any harm, But killed all the mice in the farmer's barn.
Welcome to Awash's first intro log, everyone! Please review the FAQ and rules before playing. Characters have all woken at the bottom of the well in the middle of the town (which seems a lot bigger on the inside, somehow), and it looks like they'll have to put in some work to get out.

ou wake in knee-deep water, cold as ice and stagnant, in a space that is far too echoey and spacious. It feels like a massive cave, but looking up... there's only one small, circular opening that shows grey sky and shines any sort of light.

[ he literally just died, give him a break. ]

Your "dex"?
[ She...doesn't see any sort of bag or satchel on him. Pockets? ]
But yes, it clearly sets us apart from our surroundings. At least it should make it easy to pick out others in our situation, if the theory holds.

i would explain but you have a homestuck past so you can deal!!! ]
Because if someone was a native, they'd probably lac color?
no subject
...I see. So you can materialize objects that you own? Or you can access them without needing to physically retrieve them?
[ Interesting. ]
That's my assumption. But I can't verify it unless we meet with someone who identifies themselves as a native. It could be that all sentient, living beings hold color as well, which is why the ivy around the well also lacked pigment.

[ he...has SOMEWHAT fewer issues with this than, say, john. john what the fuck are you even doing with your sylladex, ever. ]
If it's sentient, livin' beings we can always try to track down an animal to verify?
no subject
Okay, that goes over her head. ]
...Yes, of course.
[ But the way he says it so plainly makes her think she should--ah, well. Moving on. ]
That's not a bad idea. Given that it's a city, there are bound to be some common birds or stray cats.
no subject
[ that said, how the fuck does one skin and prep a bird. things dave doesn't want to find out!! ]

[ Service. Fully prepared food. ]
But finding locals should be the first order of business.
