Pussy's in the well. Who put her in? Little Johnny Thin. Who pulled her out? Little Tommy Stout. What a naughty boy was that, To try to drown poor pussy cat, Who never did him any harm, But killed all the mice in the farmer's barn.
Welcome to Awash's first intro log, everyone! Please review the FAQ and rules before playing. Characters have all woken at the bottom of the well in the middle of the town (which seems a lot bigger on the inside, somehow), and it looks like they'll have to put in some work to get out.

ou wake in knee-deep water, cold as ice and stagnant, in a space that is far too echoey and spacious. It feels like a massive cave, but looking up... there's only one small, circular opening that shows grey sky and shines any sort of light.
I. Scarecrows and fire aren't very compatible
The source of color isn't clothing, but rather a fire, and while that's all well and good--his clothes are still damp and it's far from warm out, after all--he still hesitates a moment before logic overrules a deeply ingrained response to avoid. He might have had generations to get over it, but when you spend your early life as a scarecrow, you learn very quickly that you are very susceptible to flame. But the person nearest to it waves him in, and... well, it just makes sense to take advantage of the offer, now doesn't it?
"You know, your decision to position yourself out in the open like this is questionable, at best." he says as he approaches. He stops a safe distance away from the flame, small as it may be; it's just barely near enough to feel the warmth of it, but then he doesn't trust his company just yet, either. "You'd be better suited anywhere with even the slightest form of cover."
He's grateful, really. Honest.

It's for people who just got out of the well, dumbass. If you don't like it you can go find another fire.
[ There isn't another fire, of course, which is sort of the point. ]

"Ah, right--I hadn't realized I'd not been in the well with the rest of you, of course. If I'd known, I certainly wouldn't have gone for a swim for my own sake." With this brat's attitude, Kyrie's glad he decided to stay at a safe distance; he doesn't quite trust that he won't toss a stick at him.
"I was offering you advice for next time, to make the fire easier to keep. You ought to say 'thank you'."
