[ Whether or not Crowley has gotten any better or worse at flower crown making after the appearance of Guren and Dextera is still up in the air, for the most part, but it's obvious that he's hardly paying as much attention as he would any other day. Aware that he's the third wheel but still distracted -- for a good reason, mind you, as he's at the cusp of his third day without blood. Like an itch he can't scratch, he's irritated and doesn't attempt to mask the fact even as the two do as they please.

But it only lasts for so long. ]

Hey. [ He's just gonna kick Guren's leg. Not too much because... y'know. ] You know I'm my third day, right?

[ dextera hates this, he hates crowley, and seeing guren slump against the wall like that—looking so pale and sick—doesn’t abate any of those feelings for even a second. if he tried to attack crowley, he would die in an instant, and he hates that too.

he could kill crowley, but it would take the kind of planning that would cool him off before he could actually follow through. ]

Ngh…

[ he’s so angry he’s dizzy, until he forces himself to breathe. consider. he doesn’t like seeing this done to guren, so it seems like the best plan really is to offer himself up. he’s singularly focused on that, which is entirely why he doesn’t move to help guren. ]

You don’t… have to rely on him.

[ It's common practice at this point to catch a glimpse of Guren tired and sluggish in the corner of his eye after feeding, so much so that he doesn't even bat an eyelash or consider asking if he's fine. Dextera is here, after all, to shower him with concern and proper aftercare that Crowley neglects -- he could blame it on the lack of emotions, but honestly it's simply due to the fact that he doesn't care. This was a decision made on the other's behalf and he was simple abiding by it. ]

I wish it were that simple. It'd be easier if I could just drink from the livestock here but then this guy would throw a fit, so as you can see I'm stuck between a rock and a hard place.

[Dextera is here... but he's too busy showering Crowley with hate. Guren is irritated by that, too, pushing himself up to stand properly even if he looks like he might fall over.]

He's right. I asked for this.

[Obviously he did, though he's hoping his firm words will get Dextera to stop offering himself up. Cut it out... He moves closer, catching Dex by the arm and using him as support as he does.]

I can regenerate blood faster than normal humans. [Is that true for cursed gear users or is he making that shit up? Either way.] He needs it at least every three days. With the nature of your abilities, yours might do more harm than good, anyway.

[He's shutting this down completely!!! Only bitey him, that's the rule. His stupid stubborn rule to take as much on himself as possible.]

[ dextera doesn’t like it, and guess who’s going to offer himself up later anyway, where guren can’t fucking stop him? in some ways, he’s terribly stubborn, and for as good as he is at listening, guren has given him too much confidence. look what you did, you went and gave a perfectly good tool autonomy. ]

[ his brow furrows, when guren denies his request and catches his arm. ]

You don’t know that.

[ Gentlemen... Crowley's got two arms to hold you in. Just remember that. ]

Huh? [ The word drags, clearly showing interest as his arms cross in front of his chest and he leans his weight onto one foot. Quirking a brow he offers both of them a grin -- never a good sign. ] Is there something about this guy that makes him special, Guren? Or are you just saying that to keep me away?

[ Because that just makes him wanna go in for the kill?????? Hello??? ]

[Hold them, Crowley-sama.

Guren hates all of this. He hates that Dextera is throwing a fit instead of just trusting him on this, he hates that Crowley isn't catching a hint and going away and instead showing this interest. He hates that he dug himself this hole.

He's well aware now that he has to tread carefully. Downplaying it now would be too obvious, going into detail would be too inviting. So what does he do? He's placed himself bodily between them, by grabbing Dextera's arm like he is, but he gives Crowley a serious glare and thrusts Dextera's arm back at him, like an invite.]

You want to try it for yourself and see?

[Threatening, but still offering Dextera out like he hadn't wanted to. He thinks it's the best choice.]

[ dextera hadn’t expected guren to turn heel like that and offer his arm out for him, but this is what he wanted, after all. he wanted to take guren’s place in this exchange, but now…

this feels a bit more like a challenge, than a sacrifice. dextera doesn’t know what to do about that, but he thinks the best approach is to make sure that it looks like he has some control here, too.

he flexes his arm, and there are bandages up some of it, but the gesture emphasizes the exposed crook of his elbow, pale flesh with a visible vein ready to be bitten. ]

[ To say Crowley was amused would be an understatement; the look in both their eyes and the very knowledge knowing that just his presence was enough to bring about a mixed range of emotions for either is fulfilling enough for a person so detached.

He gives Guren a questionable look, though obviously pleased. ]

I mean... who am I to say no to free food? I've been drinking from you since I got here and it's gotten a little boring, y'know~ [ So he approaches without any hesitation, taking Dextera's arm from Guren's grasp and giving the only exposure of skin a single glance. He pulls the man closer, however, bringing his arm up to his mouth with a subtle brush of his lips -- and sinks his fangs in. Piercing into flesh, the blood coursing through the vein running off its tracks as Crowley begins to drink.

And it's -- ]

[ -- fucking disgusting.

It's not like a regular humans blood, it's so much more than that. And it brings a sharp, burning pain down his throat and throughout his entire being when he swallows.

Immediately he pulls away messily, tearing skin and flesh as he takes several steps away and brings a hand to his mouth. He wants it out. Whatever the hell this blood he needs it out -- Crowley turns his back to both of them pathetically, hunching over the alleyway wall and pushing his fingers into the back of his throat before finally throwing up. No bile, just blood, which isn't less disgusting but hey at least it doesn't smell like vomit? I....... I guess.......

And he laughs nervously: ]

What the fuck?

[yeah, that's right, bitch

That is to say, it's unfortunate that Crowley can't just take his word for it and back off, but at least this means that it's all done in front of him, instead of behind his back. Crowley tears away and Guren is there instantly, pressing a bandage he'd already pulled from his pocket against the probably messier than usual wound on Dextera's arm. He watches Crowley unblinking, angry, cold, contemplating a number of things—

But ultimately, he just lifts his chin a bit to look down at him, as if he's not on way too little blood and close to passing out himself.]

Should I say "I told you so?" [This ass.] Both of you.

[A look gets tossed to Dextera, as well, and it's clear that he's Angry. Then it's back to Crowley.]

No more screwing around. If it's so boring for you to drink from only me, then go suck on a mutated goat.

Ah—?!

[ it hurts when crowley pulls away, tearing at his skin, and dextera gasps in surprised pain. there’s blood dripping all over, not just on his arm but spattered across the ground now, too.

he hadn’t considered that his blood would react so poorly with a vampire—maybe they both deserve this for being stupid. even so, when guren tosses that frustrated look his way, dextera frowns and glances elsewhere, holding the bandage tightly to his arm. can he be blamed for wanting to help?

guren is always putting himself in danger, and dextera wanted to relieve that burden. ]

…

[ he lets go of the bandage once it’s soaked up the most immediate overflow. crowley’s back is turned, but he signs an apology anyway, just because he’s like that. ]

I’m sorry. I didn’t know.

[ Yeah, they definitely deserve this for being stupid, but at the same time Crowley's never experienced this before? Even with Shinoa, who literally has a demon inside of her, there were no drawbacks to taking her blood -- so what happened here is both eye opening and so bizarre that he nearly wants to kill both.

Nearly. He knows better than to go through with it; sucking in a breath, he brings the back of his hand to his mouth and wipes it profusely. ]

You know a goat isn't going to do shit. [ The anger lingers in his voice, even as his back reminds to both of them. ]

Haha, what the hell... I should really just kill you both. You knew this would happen, didn't you?

[At that killing comment, Guren puts one arm in front of Dextera in a guarding motion, the other gripping at his sword. Embarrassing. He knows it's like a neon sign here, and especially useless when he's feeling weaker than usual from blood loss, but if it's going to be a fight, he'd rather be in a ready stance. He has no idea what to expect from Crowley at any given time. It's all guesses. And that angry voice is frightening, he won't lie.]

He didn't. I had a feeling. Take it as a lesson and move on. You can get your blood fix from me. That should be enough.

[ dextera is less scared than he should be. he knows crowley is dangerous because guren is afraid of him, but things don’t stick for him viscerally until he’s experienced it himself. that doesn’t mean he isn’t scared at all, though. ]

…

[ he looks down at guren’s arm thrown protectively in front of him, and forces his breathing to steady even if it’s still a little shallow. his own arm hurts, throbbing where crowley ripped away from it.

he’s sorry. maybe that isn’t enough. he can’t do anything until crowley makes a decision. ]
