[Well, as promised? After he gets off the laptop, he'll head on over to the border of the woods and Flavo. If anyone, he's sure he can depend on Shiho to not shoot him in the head, so there are no problems here.

He'll just chill with his hands in his pockets, leaning against a tree as he waits for Shiho to meet him here.

It'll be good to see her at a time when they're not both totally miserable, too.]

[Here he comeeees to come see his dads.

If anyone, Kyrie can absolutely shoot at him; no matter what they did in training earlier, he still is pretty sure Kyrie wouldn't actually like...shoot him.

If only to prove his own skills at aiming.

[Shiho doesn’t look half as relaxed, mouth a flat line as she comes up to see him leaning against a tree like letting someone shoot at something on top of your head is all perfectly normal.

Is it too much to as for just a tiny bit more self preservation? Anyone?? She does have her gun tucked into her pocket though.]

...You really did come.

Of course I did.

[He blinks, tilting his head bemusedly. She looks a bit tense, but... surely she wouldn't have come if she wasn't confident in her skills?]

It's you, Sannomiya-san. I'm pretty sure I can trust in your abilities.

You know that you don’t even know what my abilities are, right?

[She’s tense, especially because Minato doesn’t seem to be. Of course her own skills are enough to shoot an apple off his head. If needed, she could even do a trick shot and ricochet the line off of another person’s apple.]

You're right. I don't.

[Minato acknowledges that easily, nodding peacefully.]

But I do know you. You wouldn't be here offering to do this if you weren't confident you could. So I'm really not concerned at all.

[Where does he get all this confidence and trust from, that’s what she wants to know.]

You’re too trusting.

[But it’s not a bad thing. A worrying thing, certainly, but she can’t bring herself to tell him he’s wrong for trusting people.]

...So are we going to do this? Did you bring an apple?

[He digs into his pocket, and produces an apple! Shiny and red and delicious looking. He might eat it after she's done shooting it? That's the sort of thing he would do.]

Where do you want me to stand?

[She's doing the shooting, so he'll be obedient to her wishes in this.]

Anywhere’s fine.

[Since the psychometry makes her a good shot. She gestures to a spot near a tree.]

Over there would work too.

Got it. I'll go stand over there, then.

[A beat--and he flashes her the cheesiest thumbs up.]

I'm counting on you, Sannomiya-san.

[And off he trots, over to that tree...! He'll plant the apple on top of his head without much hesitation too, carefully balancing it and then...he sticks his hands into his pockets.

Of course he does.]

[Having someone count on her is, at once both worrying and also kind of nice at the same time. She knows she won’t accidentally shoot him somewhere she doesn’t want to and she’s not the type to miss just to make a point, that’s dangerous after all.

So with a sigh, she reaches into her pocket and pulls out a white gun with a wind-up handle on the side, looking more like a toy than an actual weapon.

Is he going to move? Hopefully not but she’s going to remind him anyway.]

Don’t move. [And then with that she’s shooting the apple with the grappling hook that shoots out of the gun. Minato might have a wire hanging over his face now but otherwise her aim is perfect, hitting straight through.]

[He doesn't even flinch. He just stands there, expression peaceful as she aims that gun at him (it really isn't a very threatening looking weapon, at least...) and then she fires. It nails the apple, and he blinks at her from beneath the grappling hook'd apple.]

... That went well.

[Yep!]

Nice shot, Sannomiya-san.

[He shouldn't be quite so unruffled about this, but of course he is.]

Of course it went well.

[She’s a good shot, with or without the psychometry. Which is a long way from when she was a kid and relied solely on her powers for aiming.]

Did you used to work at a circus or something? [Because is being that peaceful when someone points a gun at you supposed to be normal? It doesn’t seem normal even as she walks closer, retracting the wire as she does.]

Huh...? No, of course not.

[Minato just blinks blankly at that, tilting his head. He doesn't realize she's talking about his total lack of flinching... part of it is his own pointing a gun at his head thing, but part of is is also just that he really does trust her that much.]

Why do you ask?

[ Caramia is so not about shooting Minato, but he would if Kyrie tries to convince him. In the meantime, he just intends to be very nervous support, answering the door a little too quickly when Minato knocks- he was making food, after all, so he was in the area!!

Still, Minato's getting the usual hug!!! And a little head bump to boot. ]

Ciao, Minato! You're certainly fast, aren't you?

[ Should he go fetch Kyrie? Probably. Is he going to? Nah. Kyrie can move himself here and stop being lazy bum?? ]

Does anyone normally stay that calm when someone shoots at them?

[But she sounds more worried than accusatory as she says it, reaching up to pluck the apple from on top of his head and pulling the end of the wire out, probably taking chunks of apple with it as she does so. At least his apple is suitably aerated now?]

Kyrie's about shooting Minato! Or like, at Minato. Maybe. Just as long as he doesn't go and move or something, but at that point would it really be Kyrie's fault...?

Anyway, he lurked on the forum enough to know of this plan, so joke's on you Caramia, there's hardly any time at all before Kyrie's voice is overlapping his as he leans in the entry behind him.

"I should certainly hope so," he scoffs. "If he's so willing to get himself shot, he might as well go to someone who can ensure it to be a single blow. If he didn't hurry over, he might've found himself victim to some moron's shoddy aim."

In other words, 'you shouldn't offer to be just anyone's target dummy, dummy'.

[Minato is okay with that hug and also head bump!!

But.

He just snorts softly in response, shaking his head.]

I promise I'm not in any danger of getting hurt from this quest.

[Seriously. Trust him.]

I am ready when you are, though, if there's somewhere you'd like me to stand. [Outside, probably.]

[Ah. That... that makes a lot more sense.]

Minato definitely just squints at the apple (dead-on, very impressive), and then shakes his head.]

I do trust you, Sannomiya-san, but also I don't think I could be hurt by something like this. Even if you missed, I would've been fine.

Mmh, I'm still going to. After all, you seem to lack self-preservation sometimes. [ Sometimes being Literally All The Time, but that's besides the point. He'll let go of Minato briefly so he could saunter back inside to bring out a basket of apples. One of them being for shooting (maybe two if they can convince Caramia to shoot his son), but he still offers one to Minato for actual eating sake, too. ]

Not in the house, that's for sure. Don't ask Kyrie that, he'd end up having you stand by my stuff and... "miss". Come on, we'll have you stand somewhere you can stand upright.

[He’s still eating this apple, right? She holds it out, intending to drop it into his hand if she could in order to minimize any touching.]

You’re not going to confess to being an android or something, right? It’s your head I was aiming for, you know?

Ah--no, nothing like that.

[A quick shake of his head! And yeah he's definitely accepting that apple with a comfortable nod.]

But I do have some magic, I guess you could say.

Magic. [Does she sound convinced as she drops the apple in his hand? Not at all.]

There’s someone else on the forum who said they had magic and even they couldn’t get through being shot in the head. Though if it’s protection against that, it’s kind of specific, isn’t it?

[Then again, Kaoru could survive a shot in the head just by deflecting it. Maybe Minato was like that.]

[He takes a bite of the apple, shaking his head.]

It's not like I'd be able to heal myself if I was shot through the head. That's a bit...much.

[Crunch munch. This is a good apple, honestly, even if it's a mess now.]

But I do have protection against being shot, most of the time. It's not a sureproof thing [It depends on what Persona he has equipped] but when I have time to prepare like this? I'll definitely be fine.

[Trying to take all that information in is what is a bit much to her. So is this magic?]

....What kind of world did you say you come from again?

[He’s never said it, but she has the suspicion it’s not the normal world she first assumed it to be.]
