[After the cure has been found and everyone restored, Aqua is the first person Roxas tracks down to find. Mostly to reassure the older Keybearer that he's recovered from the bite and managed not to be a complete biting mess the entire time.]

[ Aqua is more than happy to see him. Honestly, she feels like she's failed him by not being able to protect him. Maybe she could've done something more... healed him, or something. But instead...

When she sees him, she pulls him into a hug. ]

[No words. Just a hug. It still makes Roxas feel that hiccup of surprise when Aqua pulls him in. He returns the gesture with a slight back pat.]

I'm okay now.

Yes-- of course you are.

[ Aqua takes in a deep breath and pulls away, but she doesn't move her hands from his shoulders. ]

I'm so sorry. I couldn't help you...

It's okay! I stuck close to Nyx when I could and he helped me when...

[Roxas looks unsure.] I wanted to bite people... Really hurt them when I changed.

[Unicorns! Not an animal Roxas has ever met in person before, so all he has to go on is the Dream Eaters Sora once had. Maybe still has? He hasn't seen them so he's not even sure if Sora can bring those critters out into the open. Asking will be for some other time.

The quest was to get their hair. And he needs Sora for it since he doesn't know any other reds. At least unicorns weren't hard to spot when you've found one.]

Won't it be mad if we take some of its hair?

[Out of all the mythical creatures and beasts that Sora's seen in his lifetime he has yet to see a real live unicorn. Strange, he's never seen a real live chocobo either. He's heard stories of both of them but, alas. The closest thing to a unicorn he's ever seen would probably just be a Pegaslick or Pegasus himself. And those were flying horses, not magical horned ones.

He pinches his chin with two fingers as he ponders that question.]

Uh, what if we sneak up on it and cut some off when it's not looking?

... I don't want to get kicked or gored.

[Unicorns look dangerous despite being pretty.]

How about we just walk up to it? If it doesn't run, one of us distracts it and the other gets the hair?

[Sora looks out towards the forest, colourless and gray that it is, and nods.]

Maybe if we can make friends with it it'll just let us take a strand or two. But yeah, let's have one of us stay behind a bit just in case? You, or me?

[He grins. He thinks he'll be good at the making friends with magical creatures thing, buttttt just in case Roxas wants to take a crack at it instead.]

[Hmm... good question. Roxas is afraid being a Nobody would be held against him by a unicorn, so he nudges Sora's shoulder.]

You take the lead. It might not like me.

[Plus the blond is almost like a tiny tank, so he can defend himself easily if the unicorn does decide to take a chunk out of one of them.]

Alright...!

[Sora doesn't know why Roxas thinks the unicorn might not like him but he's gonna go walk ahead anyway! Time to hunt unicorns!

...

Except he doesn't really know how to do that. So, Sora starts off by wandering through the trees and then calling out,]

Hello~? Any unicorns out there...?

[Sora is a good bean if he can't think of why Roxas wouldn't be liked.

Following, Roxas sighs softly.]

They're not like dogs. It's not gonna come when you call it... Where do unicorns live in stories?

[Must be a good bean, then.

Sora looks up at the trees and follows the skyline before glancing at Roxas. He shrugs a bit and then taps his fingers for each point.]

Magical colourful mountains and pastures? Candy lands? We're kind of lacking in all of that.

Nothing about forests? Or what kind of people find them?

[Were they all pictures books or did Sora just not read much about unicorns. All they have is a colorless forest to work with that held who knows what kinds of creatures in it.

Roxas looks down to see if there might be tracks.]

Wouldn't they stay away from people?

I dunno. [He grins.] I guess if the quest log says they're real they've got to be around here somewhere, right?

[Unicorns are known to be proud creatures. Magical kings of the animal world. Or something like that! Sora has to think hard about what might help them find an actual unicorn.]

Oh, let me try something? Watch this for a second.

[If they are magical creatures of the light maybe they'll be drawn to light magic. So, Sora summons his keyblade with a flourish and raises it. White sparks gather and grow until a powerful beam of light shoots straight upwards and then breaks off into several radiant pillars that billow and sparkle outwards. The Faith spell.]

Right. But it's not like anyone is keeping them as pets like the chocobo in town.

[Which is a shame. It would have made finding them much easier.

Hm? What's Sora gonna do? Roxas looks on curiously when the keyblade is summoned. Then that attack is used and he tilts his head. That's not something he himself can use, but with how cool it looks, Roxas kind of wants to learn it.]

So we just wait now?

[Light skills and magic are his favourite! And also what he excels at best. He got so much better at using them during his mastery exams as well so he's quite proud of how powerful his light magic actually is these days. Magic resonates in the air around them leaving sparkles of holy white lights falling to the ground like fluffy snow. It melts and vanishes like it too.]

Yeah, let's see if anything caught wind of that...

[It'll take some time... A lot of time-- But soon there is the gentle tapping of some sort of animal walking closer. Four legs and trotting for sure... Hopefully, it's not just a lucky horse.]

[Sora can be the magician between them. Roxas will stick to being the powerhouse who will use magic when it's needed. If in the future he needs to change that, he already knows who he can ask about training. ~~Aqua~~]

Let's hope it's not an enemy that does.

[During that time, Roxas will just look around and take in the forest. He hasn't been in here much. It... is not a nice place. Too colorless to make him want to come here more often.

The noise draws his attention.] Is that one?

[Oh he's definitely no mage. He'll leave that stuff up to the experts like Donald. He likes to think of himself as a jack-of-all-trades. ~~a red mage~~ Up close, speed and melee is still his go-to.]

Shh--!

[Sora reaches to put a hand over Roxas' mouth. Then nudges him and huddles them behind a tree. They have to be sneaky-sneaky!!]

[~~red mage is still a mage~~

Roxas lets out an indignant noise, hands flying up to pry Sora's off of his mouth. He gets it! They need to be quiet! No need to get so grabby. If Sora doesn't let go as soon as they are hiding, someone is going to be bitten.

There better be a unicorn coming or this blond will be grumpy for a while.]

[~~still a SWORD mage~~]

Ack-!

[Sora mutters when Roxas pries him off and frowns at him. Then he goes to peek around the tree trunk just a little. He holds his breath before he realizes it.

Trot...trot...trot... The sound of hooves on the earth. Then something reflects the light of the newly coloured sun. A sparkle. And a beautiful shining white creature steps out.]

[Huff huff he might not mind being close at times but some things are just rude, Sora. You're not dealing with Riku or Goofy who would just let that happen.

Is..... that a real unicorn? It's so white. And somehow stands out in this colorless landscape. Roxas tugs on Sora's arm as he tries not to make a sound. Look! Look!

He wants to go pet ittttttttt.....]

[It's so... awesome!! Sora rapidly pats Roxas' hand that's tugging him arm with equal excitement. This is the coolest thing ever.

He whispers quietly!!] Okay... I'm gonna go talk to it!

[He peeks his head out and the unicorn starts to sniff at where the light magic showered the ground. He feels a bit nervous.]

[Nodding, Roxas lets go of Sora's arm and sits there, feeling likes he's vibrating out of his skin from nerves and excitement.

Just to reassure Sora, the blond reaches over and gives the others shoulder a squeeze and a smile. You can do it, Sora!]

[Tht squeeze and smile has Sora glancing back at Roxas. He can't help but smile in return-- Roxas' smile...

... It's nice. He likes it.

Sora turns back to the unicorn and steps out. Some of the nervous jitters exchanged for excitement now. But! He tries to be as calm as he can manage as he walks forward with his hands open.]

Uh... Hey, there.

[The unicorn bolts its head up and stares at him but doesn't run. She seems to watch him carefully with crystal eyes.]

Did you like the light magic? I can... Show you again if you'd like.
