WHAT: These past few weeks have been killer! Ochako wants to make people smile, and what better way to do that than by baking and sharing colorful sugar cookies? I'll eventually add quests and stuff here, too.
WHEN: Cookies = 7.2, but everything else? WHO KNOWS?
WARNINGS: Sugary sweetness...


[Baking cookies at home? An easy, fun thing to do. Baking cookies in Chroma? ...Whew. Ochako's wish coin provided the necessary ingredients, and Caramia came through with an easy-to-follow recipe, but the lack of modern kitchen appliances made baking way more difficult than it had any right to be. An hour-long cookie making session somehow turned into a full day's worth of work...

It's fine, though! It's cool. The end product was so worth the effort, which is why she's all smiles as she wanders around town with a cloth-covered basket hanging on one arm.]

[Hello, friend! If Ochako spots you in the street, she's calling your name and running right up to you; if you're at home, however, she's politely knocking on your front door and waiting for you to answer. Choose your own adventure.]

[You're also wandering around town, huh? Just minding your own business? Well, not for long! Stranger danger isn't a Thing in Chroma, so Ochako sidles right up to you and asks a very simple question:]

I know this might seem kind of weird, but... do you like cookies?

(Ochako has 34 cookies to hand out, so she can only give cookies to 17 people. I don't really think that will be an issue, but!! Better safe than sorry! [When was the last time she and Shouto actually spent time together? Ochako can't remember, honestly, but after everything that happened these past few weeks... well, some family bonding time is needed.

So good morning, Shouto! Whenever he's awake enough to open his laptop, he'll find this waiting for him:]

[As cute as a friendship date sounds, Ochako isn't sure what, exactly, she and Deku are actually going to do. Fun activities in Chroma are few and far between, unless you count, like... fishing? Or gardening? Or flower-crown making, but they've done that way too many times to count.

It's fine, though! They'll figure out something fun to do together, she's sure of it, so—here she stands, humming to herself as she patiently waits for Deku to open the door to his cottage. Hopefully he enjoys the ridiculous sweater she's wearing! Oh, and pay no attention to the covered basket swinging off one arm. It's not like she has a surprise for him or anything...]

[Okuyasu isn't the only person getting cookies today, it's true, but he is the only person getting an entire batch of freshly baked cookies. As soon as they cool from the oven, Ochako tucks them inside her basket, covers them with a clean towel to keep the heat in, and dashes right over to his house. Warm cookies are undeniably better than room temperature cookies? And after everything that's happened to him... well, he definitely deserves the best possible cookie experience. Hopefully it will be enough to brighten his day!

Okuyasu? [He told her to come right over, but she still calls out to him as she opens the front door. A bit of warning seems polite.] I brought your surprise!

[Well. There's no denying it's been a rough few weeks--not for Minato, necessary, but for a lot of people around Chroma who have been suffering way too much. So. Minato's pretty relieved to see Ochako perky and wandering around like her usual self.

(He should've checked up on her after the werewolf thing, but he really didn't want to make things feel too awkward, all things considered... at least he was able to heal up his nose without too much trouble.)]

[ Ever since a Certain Incident, Akechi hasn't exactly been in the mood to go out and socialize a whole lot, and with Lupin still needing some mild care for his wounds, he's had the perfect excuse to not leave the house unless he's hunting for supplies.

Still, he can't exactly ignore a knock on his door, so when he sees that bundle of sunshine known as Ochako standing outside his place, he tries to at least greet her with one of his polite smiles. ]

Ah, Ochako-chan. [ And he manages, but just barely; it's just that little bit strained, and almost... sad. ] Good afternoon. How may I help you?

[Why does everybody he know stay up this late? Don't they get tired? Don't they want to sleep until noon?

He's baffled.

But he goes after his usual morning routine, knocking on her door.]

[ Maya's not expecting a visitor (if just because she has the tendency to run into people while she's out and about) but she's also brightening at the sight of someone who... looks a lot happier than the last time she'd seen her.

[Minato! On the one hand, she's always happy to see him; on the other hand, she still feels incredibly awkward about the whole nose-shattering thing...

Ah, well. That's partly what this is all about, so she gives him a (slightly smaller than usual) smile as she skids to a stop in front of him.]

Minato-kun! You're not in a hurry, are you? I have something for you...

[Hopefully he isn't in a hurry, because she promptly turns away, trying to keep the contents of her basket hidden as she digs around for something in particular. Give her a minute, please? She turns back around as soon as she finds what she's looking for, which is... a little pouch? With a small, carefully folded note attached to it, on which she has neatly written his name.]

[The door creaks open and there he is! Of course, he doesn't open the door fully because he's using it to hide the questionable sweater and the just as questionable leggings she had insisted he wear. Honestly, it's probably a good thing the lion leggings give him a burst of courage, because he'll need all of it to walk out that door.]

Ochako-san... [There's a rare, whimpering sort of quality to his voice as he stares at her, beet red.] Do I really have to wear these out?

[Ochako notices how difficult it is for him to smile, of course, but she's too polite to question him about it. ...For now. This past week was difficult for almost everyone, which is why she gives him one of her brightest smiles as she not-so-subtly studies his face. Big bro...]

I have a surprise for you, Akechi-kun, but... I hope I didn't catch you at a bad time? I can always come back later!

[Oh, gosh. Coming to visit Maya is somehow even more awkward than talking to Minato, and she, you know... totally broke his nose...

[As promised, Okuyasu is making a hideous pile of stuff he doesn't need and maybe resents a little, right in the middle of the front room. The cursed hat is definitely down at the bottom, peeking out just enough to be identified, because he hates that "reward" most of all.

But he's in a good mood today, all things considered! He's in a good mood because he's going to burn stuff as soon as it's convenient for other people who also want to burn stuff, but you know what? He'll take what he can get.

And Ochako is coming over, which is always great, and he looks up from where he is, naturally, squatting by this pile of stuff to wave her in. Hello, come in, what's that!!!]

Hey! [A basket...] You got me a picnic?

[Some people have too much energy, Shouto!! Ochako isn't always a morning person, but cookies are a fantastic motivator; they're the sole reason she's so bright-eyed and bushy-tailed when she opens the front door, even though he... is coming over a bit later than she'd hoped...]

Todoroki-kun! Thank you for coming to help! [She stands to the side, energetically gesturing for him to come in.] Have you ever baked cookies?

[She doubts it, considering the cooking conversation they had a long, long time ago, but it still seems like something she should ask.]

Not at all! My roommate seems to have ditched me, um... indefinitely, so company would be great. Come on in.

[Keigo turns when someone yells out to him and finds it's Ochako from the relay race. It's been nearly a month since the problem went away, but he's grateful each time he isn't invisible to a girl. Of course, that brings up the problem of what else she can see.

The sense of peace and freedom after the werewolves disappeared mixed with utter boredom mixed with a spiteful sense of "Look at me! I am having fun with it! SO MUCH FUN" that led him to take Little Snoopy for a walk suddenly seems like the worst decision in the world. He tries to stand so he blocks the toy from her vision when he returns the greeting.]

[The answer, of course, is no. Ochako would never ask a friend to do something that makes them uncomfortable, especially when said friend sounds so pitiful... but she still wants to get at least one good look at the entire ensemble. The little bit she can see looks aaaaamazing.]

It can't be that bad, Deku-kun! If you step outside, I promise that I'll give you my honest opinion.

[And he's getting her most encouraging smile, because please, Izuku, let her live.]

[And she's prepared to stand here and smile at him the entire time, until she realizes that... oh, this is probably a little weird. Maybe watching him open the gift makes him think she's trying to, like, pressure him into liking the gift? Ack. She's just going to not-so nonchalantly turn her head to the side and study the neighboring building as he does his thing. Brick! How interesting!]

[She closes the door a bit harder than she'd meant to, because God. That... wasn't something she'd seriously planned to ask him, especially since ye olde oven in her kitchen works just fine, but since he brought it up—]

Could you be the oven? [Hypothetically speaking, because she's still working this out in her mind. HMM.] I don't know how hard it would be, but if you kept everything at the perfect temperature...

[She's very lucky that oven works well. Shouto's not sure all of the houses were even equipped with them.]

I don't know. I've never tried being an oven before. I could try, but we shouldn't waste too many of them on... cooking on me.

[It's an old wood-burning monstrosity, to be fair, but she's used it enough to know how it works. Plus a friend took the time to give her a few handy pointers? Things could be worse.]

On you, [she repeats rather flatly, imagining that... and then promptly shaking her head. Nope.] L-Let's just stick with the real oven for now! Maybe you can help light it.

[And back toward the kitchen she goes! The cookie ingredients are spread out on the far counter, and everything looks blessedly normal—including that big jar of colorful sprinkles. She ignores them and heads straight for the oven she's already stocked with wood.]

Do you like cookies, Todoroki-kun? You know, I've never even thought about asking you that.

They did? I'm sorry to hear that.

[Ochako still sounds way more formal than she normally does, but her stiff posture slowly begins to relax as she steps into the house. Maya wouldn't invite her inside if she was mad, right? Right. Things aren't as bad as they could be.]

Both of my roommates left, too, so... I know how lonely it can be. Sometimes I even start talking to myself, just because it's way too quiet with no one else around. Weird, right?

[Haha... ha. Save her.]

[A more confident individual would be able to own this situation, but Keigo is... Keigo. Alas. Ochako definitely notices that he's trying to hide something, which is why she gives him her brightest smile as she stops right in front of him.]

Keigo! I haven't seen you in a while, but I hope you've been doing okay!

[And she hopes he's been leaving his house more often, but some things are better left unsaid. Plus she has other things to focus on? Like that thing he's trying to block from her sight? HMM. She's just going to leeeeeean to the side and try to catch a better glimpse of it.]

[Wow, that... sure is a hefty pile of junk. Ochako gives it a quick once-over while she shuts the door behind her, eyes lingering on the silly hat. It's no wonder that particular prize pissed him right off; looking at it is enough to annoy even her, but hey—happy thoughts!]

No, but we should go on a picnic soon. It sounds like fun!

[Eating and napping in a sunny field: Ochako's dream date. She holds the basket a bit higher, gently swinging it back and forth as she smiles over at him.]
