he full moon hangs brightly over the Town, hovering so low that it almost feels as though you could reach out and touch it. It should be comforting. But as the howl of wolves fills the air, it's anything but. There are werewolves on the prowl, and their target is very clear -- the Town won't be able to last without your help. [ The response is better than she was honestly expecting, but... The only person she has to compare it to is Booker. It wasn't like he had any time to teach her anything, and she's not completely sure if she would have wanted him to, but there was still that understanding between them. He was the one that fought. She helped him throughout the fight. But she realized just before coming here that it wasn't something she could rely on.

She's still bristling a little bit at being questioned, but it's at least fading quickly. ]

I'll be careful. I promise that, at least.

[ But she's definitely not promising to not look for the cure, since, well. She already knows she'd break that promise. ]

...But it's okay. I understand, and thank you for considering it. [ She makes a thoughtful noise, but there's definitely a note of mild frustration in it ] After, though... I'd appreciate it. I was-- I do need to get better at that kind of thing.

[ And he gets the feeling that she's not going to listen to him... which is beyond his control, really. Even if he's worried about her, it's not like he can tell her it's a bad idea when, clearly, he went out and did the same. All he can do is sigh, sounding defeated, but not unhappy, per se. ]

If you get hurt, I'll be mad at you. Don't forget it.

Just remember there's no shame in running. You can't lose a fight that never starts. [ a pause; Lupin smiles wryly. ] Advice I should have taken myself a little earlier, clearly.

[ He is absolutely correct, and his light chiding just gets her to smile back. It's a little mischievous and wry, since despite her innocent appearance, clearly she has a brave and reckless streak... But she does take his concern to heart. ]

I won't. I'm not going to go looking for trouble. I promise that I'm not looking for trouble, so I'd definitely be running first.

[ At least until she can defend herself, or so she imagines. Though at his last comment, she does give him another look over to ask with a little more concern, though she keeps her tone light on the whole. ]

...But you're okay, right? At least, um, for now?

her continued concern seems to put some bounce back in his step; he gives her a fuller smile, moving to tip his hat - which isn't there at the moment, but he mimes the action all the same. ]

The great Arsène Lupin won't be laid low by something as silly as this. No need to worry for my sake, my lady. [ a beat. ] ... I'm more concerned about keeping everyone else safe. I'd better lock myself in somewhere until this gets cleaned up.
