[The blast from Lucario sent a wolf and a were tumbling away, sufficiently dazed but not knocked out just yet. Pokemon moves were hardly lethal, but Gladion was smart and even in his tired state he was still capable of being a quick strategist.]
Pokemon aren't trained to kill. However Lucario might have the ability to render them unconscious with the right combination of moves. We would need to lure them closer together, if at all possible.
[His focus was on formulating a plan, just tired enough to not be able to split attention and notice the oncoming werewolf. He jumped back at the last second, grateful that Sorey had been able to knock it back.]
If we do this right, Lucario should be able to hit them all at once.
[Extreme Speed wasn't an area of effect attack, so it was a risk, but one Gladion was willing to take. He knew his team. He trusted them.
[He narrows his eyes at the wolves and werewolves, sidestepping and hitting them to bait them into following him a little ways from where Gladion is. It takes a bit, but they're finally mostly all gathered in front of him, their backs to Gladion.
[It is a bit harrowing to see them all crowded and up close like that. Teeth and drool and hungry, angry eyes bearing down on them. Were he less composed he might have actually betrayed his feelings about it.
Instead he barks out an order, short and sweet.]
Extreme Speed!
[Without hesitation, Lucario charged, becoming a blur of motion as he struck the wolves over and over again in rapid-fire succession. As Gladion predicted they were dazed by the strikes, stumbling and wavering where they stood.
Part two-]
Psychic! As much as you can throw at them!
[was Lucario jumping back in front of Gladion at the command, throwing arms out wide as huge waves of pink energy flooded out from him and struck the dazed creatures. Like a gathering of Pokemon being struck below their threshold the attack did what Gladion was hoping for, causing them all to wobble and collapse in to a heap.]
[He's breathing heavily as he watches Lucario do....whatever he's doing, keeping his sword in front of him in case anything goes awry.
When the plan works out he lets himself sigh in relief, looking close to make sure they're thoroughly knocked out before running back to Gladion's side.]
Phew, it worked. Good job! [He smiles, though even he's a little tired from that.]
Come on, we gotta get away while we can. Is there a safe spot nearby?
[Howls still sounded in the distance, far but still too close for Gladion's comfort. Too many steps to his shared house. He felt ache in his knees, shoulders, adrenaline eking out of him with each second that went by.
[Sorey watches this exchange curiously, also giving Gladion a disbelieving look. But if he's insisting, then there's no point in arguing. No time either.]
Yeah, let's go.
[He waits for the other to begin walking before following after him, keeping close in case he needs help.]
[Lucario is right there with you, Sorey. Even as Gladion moves to take out the Pokeball for him, the Pokemon shakes his head. No way, he's staying right next to you until everyone is safe.
Gladion sighs but relents, moving in the direction he saw the house. His legs feel like lead but he drags them anyway, doing his best to keep from stumbling on uneven bits of road.]
... thank you for helping us.
[Socially awkward though he may be, he wasn't ungrateful.]
[Some part of him still wanted to believe they could have handled it, but after seeing the number of the creatures and realizing just how worn down he was he knew that Sorey's help had been life saving.]
I was with the last... group?
[There had been other people in that well, not that he talked to any of them.]

*alternates icons like a boss*
That's as good a plan as any. I can try and lure them together, but I don't know how long they'll stay like that.
[He rushes over to beat away a werewolf trying to amble up to Gladion.]
It'll be a problem if they get to either of you.

They could do this.]
Lucario, get ready!

They had to go somewhere, though.]
I think I saw an empty house near by.

Lead the way. Can you walk, though? [He sees you shaking, Gladion.]

[Lucario fixed a pointedly unsure look on his trainer, but Gladion simply returned the stare with a stubborn one of his own. He's fine.
A chuff sounded from the bipedal dog-like Pokemon, but he didn't press the issue. Bullheaded trainer...]
We should move quickly.

No problem! I'm glad I was there in time to help.
[And now that they had a moment to actually breathe...]
Are you new to the town? My name's Sorey, what's yours?

Gladion.

Nice to meet you!
[The buildings are getting closer.] Is this the place?

[The crazy stuff was enough of an issue to bother him, though. Seriously, who was in charge of this place?
Gladion looked up at the comment, squinting a bit through his own tired haze.]
Yes. This should be it.

[He nods at the affirmation before helping Gladion inside.]
We should be safe here for a little while. I can keep guard if you want to rest. That's all I can offer, unfortunately.
[He's not a healer, so he can't help the Pokemon or any of Gladion's injuries, but he can at least protect them from any further harm.]

Gladion sighed and dug through his pouch, making a face at the dwindling number of potions and remedies. It was enough to help but not by much.]
Thank you. Some rest should do us all some good.
We can end this thread here if you want, though he'll want to check up on him post-werewolves
[He turns back to the door and goes outside to stand guard, leaving the door slightly open just in case.]
