he full moon hangs brightly over the Town, hovering so low that it almost feels as though you could reach out and touch it. It should be comforting. But as the howl of wolves fills the air, it's anything but. There are werewolves on the prowl, and their target is very clear -- the Town won't be able to last without your help. [Kaoru's head whips around when someone comes close, her ears perked up because she could smell that he wasn't prey, but if he were one of the werewolves that came from the forest then she was absolutely ready to fight.

But no, he was clearly not fully transformed so he had to be someone from town. She doesn't even bat an eye at the snarl because he was...well, small. Not that Kaoru was particularly tall herself, being all of sixteen but he was just a kid.

She smiles at him, tentative and without showing her teeth.]

Hey. Are you hungry?

[For a moment, he freezes, even in breathing. He's listening, and his head just slightly tilts to one side. He's ravenous, but he's also kind of a shithead when it comes to being social. Even as a werewolf. Maybe more so as a werewolf.

He returns again to how he had been before, breathing and prowling. Clearly, he's still pretty intelligent, not unlike some of the wolves that had attacked.]

Star...ving.

[It doesn't feel right to say that, as him, and yet... It feels completely right to admit it, as a beast. Hungry. Starving.]

[Kaoru has dealt with unfriendly people her entire life. Any other day and she'd probably just be amused.

No, actually, she was still amused, even if she were also exhausted and worried too. She was also a bit torn between setting the animal in her hands free or eating it or giving it over to him to eat.

But well, the animal instinct and hunger was winning out.

In contrast, to his prowling, Kaoru's entire body language was alert but friendly.]
