he full moon hangs brightly over the Town, hovering so low that it almost feels as though you could reach out and touch it. It should be comforting. But as the howl of wolves fills the air, it's anything but. There are werewolves on the prowl, and their target is very clear -- the Town won't be able to last without your help. Aqua rushes over and kneels down next to him. Gently, she places a hand on his shoulder, and adds her own healing magic. ]

Did it bite you, Roxas?

Yeah, but I'll be fine. Really.

[Werewolf legends are not something that this guy has grown up with.]

It's just a bite.

[shotlocking]

[ She's relieved, at least. But there's an inexplicable sense of dread when she looks at the bite. ]

Can you stand?

[missingache]

Wolves. But they hardly seem like normal wolves.

They looked like they'd fit into Halloween Town.

Halloween Town? Is that a world you've visited?

Jack Skellington is the Pumpkin King there, and everything is dead or undead.

I see... It definitely sounds interesting. Did you enjoy it?

I was there for a mission... but it was kinda fun to see everything there.

A mission?

[missingache]

With the Organization. To collect hearts.

[shotlocking]

[ She stops, eyes widening. ]

To collect hearts? Why?

[missingache]

To create a Kingdom Hearts.

[Saying it so casually since it's pretty common knowledge back home.]

[shotlocking]

... I remember you told me about that.

[ She breathes out a quiet sigh. ]

It's foolish. But I doubt he will give up on it.

[missingache]

Actually... I think he just wants vessels now.

[shotlocking]

[missingache]

[He nods, looking down.] I can't let him have Sora...

[shotlocking]

[ She reaches out and gently squeezes his shoulder. ]

Sora is safe here. And back home... he has so many people to make sure he stays safe. You, more than anyone.

[missingache]

[He shakes his head.]

No. I can't do anything... I'm just in his heart. The only way we can talk is if he's dreaming. I can't help keep him safe like that!

[shotlocking]

Don't underestimate yourself, Roxas. You're part of him, closer to him than anyone else.

You can protect his heart, just by being there.

[missingache]

[Gritting his teeth, he rests his weight on the uninjured leg.]

If he gets taken as a vessel, I can't save him. I'd rather be by his side and fight than just waiting...

[shotlocking]

Roxas...

[ She puts her hands on his shoulders. ]

No one will allow Xehanort to take Sora. I promise you that.

[missingache]

[He looks up at her.]

... But he almost got him once. Through Sora's dreams. What if he tries that again?

Then we'll stop him for good.

[ Just slightly, her hands tighten on Roxas's shoulders. ]

Even if... I can't be there, Sora is important to so many people, isn't he? To Riku, and all his other friends.
