Where do you think you're going to go, in your condition?
[Guren is fast to answer, serious and calm, hand on his hip near his sword, casually.] Running away could be just as dangerous. If you lose control, you could attack someone. If you don't, you could still be attacked.
Pointing something at the other werewolves might at least give you something of a chance.
[But it's hard to ignore the rising instincts and the voice inside his head urging him to just let go. Guren's demeanor helps ease it, some. Makes him feel less like he's trapped.]
And if I stay here I could attack someone, too. There're no good options.
[The comeback is out of his mouth before he even thinks about it, but once it's in the air there's no point in backtracking. Instead Nyx allows the wicked smirk that pulls at the corner of his lips.]
[Just as flat, he rolls with that sort of comment a little too easily. A "shut up" that's a little softer, since it's just Nyx, and enough playfulness that shows he's on his toes.]
I'd rather not do anything, though, so if you can stay in control, it'd be better. Aim yourself at those beasts. The ones fully changed.
[It's not meant as a warning, not really. Nyx knows where his loyalties lie. His goals are simple, even if he would send an entire legion to the underworld to accomplish them. There's nothing that anyone could give him that would make him turn from Chroma and its people right now.]
[He weighs it in his mind, almost like reaching out for home and the voice of an absent god. It's been a long time since he's asked for Ramuh's judgment. Go figure that he'd start leaning on old superstitions once he no longer can.
It's only his own heart he can turn to, and the pain of betrayal is months gone now. He has to lean on someone.]

[He's quick to counter, jabbing a thumb at himself.] Just don't blame me if I slam you to the ground. I promise I'll keep it to a minimum.
[He's still trying to make it light, to be in control and offer his support that way.]

I don't know that I'd see them as a threat tonight. Last night I kept getting conflicting signals. They don't smell like enemies.
[The 'Not like everyone else does' remains unspoken; it's something he doesn't want to admit as if it would shatter his resolve once he changes.
Nyx absently scratches at a patch of irritated skin, reminding him distinctly that he'll be growing fur before too long.]

[Guren at least differentiates just like that. Those are the beasts who started all this. Animals, monsters, creatures. That's all they are.]
Those ones can be your enemies.

[There's just a grin in response, meant to reassure.]
I've got your back, too. Rely on me a little.

Okay. What can I do?

[Simple!!]

[Um, no?! You're not allowed to make that sacrifice for him??]

[He sure is just full on making it sound like a challenge.]

Oh, I see. You know, just because I grow a tail doesn't mean I can't still tag you at least six times.
no subject
[It totally is, and Guren's having too fun with the teasing. It's a great distraction, right? He thinks so.]
The tail has nothing to do with it.

It is on, Guren. You're gonna regret doubting me.
