memory sharing: Ryo & Dextera
As previously arranged over messages, Akechi drops by Ryo's house a couple hours later, and knocks on the door twice to announce his arrival. ]
no subject
He answers the door as soon as he hears the knocking, inclining his head in greeting. ]
Hello, Akechi-san. Come in. [ He'll step aside so Akechi can enter. ] Dextera should be here soon.
no subject
he knocks on the door around the time he was told to come, and when it’s answered, he steps in meekly—dipping his head in greeting, when he notices there’s someone else, who isn’t ryo, here at ryo’s home. ]
...?
no subject
Ah, you must be Dextera-san, correct? [ The usual smile, and a bow of his head in greeting. ] I'm Akechi. Pleased to meet you.
[ He motions towards Ryo. ] Asuka-kun invited me over so we could complete a quest. I hope we'll get along.
no subject
The quest I had in mind is the memory sharing one. Your story will be safe with Akechi-san, so don't worry.
no subject
now he has a name for the face, and vice versa. ]
…
[ the memory quest… that sucks! ]
All of us?
no subject
crushrival was a demon, that is just fine.At Dextera's question, though, he offers an apologetic smile. ]
All of us will participate, but not all of us will share stories of their own. [ He's speaking mostly for himself here, but to be fair, he's not too sure Ryo would be willing to expose much about his past like that. ] My priority is to figure out how these quests operate, and what exactly our captors want from us. Their instructions are often vague, so in order to figure out whether all involved parties must share or not, I am willing to forsake whatever material goods they might offer us as a potential reward.
[ Yeah, good job, play it like you're the self-sacrificing hero, Akechi, not the poor schmuck who was dragged into pouring his heart out to a complete stranger. ]
But, like Asuka-kun said, I have no personal interest in your secrets, so they will be safe with me. I give you my word.
[ Look at this cute face, Dex. Is this the face of someone who would ever betray you? ]
that icon looks so passive aggressive
he looks trustworthy
absolutely, you should always trust him
he is a very trustworthy individual

memory sharing: Caramia
Well, whatever. Even Akechi has to admit he... may have had a little fun. Just a little.
But, fun as they are, parties are also very messy, so Akechi, being the Nice and Helpful Boy he is, decided to stay behind and help Caramia clean up. He didn't do much to help with the actual party planning, so this is the least he can do, really. ]
Well! Where should we begin?
no subject
But, hey, at least he's going to get a helping hand! When Akechi asked where to begin, Caramia gestured his hands up to the whole of the area with a chuckle. ] Here. [ Cue the "you just gestured to all of me" joke. ]
No, just kidding. Probably the food, right? I mean, animals aren't really an issue for us, but we wouldn't want to give them a reason to start coming here.
no subject
[ That said, Akechi takes up a burlap sack - there's a sad lack of plastic bags, but these had been washed to the best of their abilities - and starts putting away the easier foods, mostly fruits and berries and whatever was still canned. They'll have to figure out what to do about the rest later, but for now, this is making progress. ]
I must say, Caramia-san really did a fantastic job, especially under the circumstances. Were you used to hosting many parties, back home?
no subject
[ ... "Branding ceremonies"? Yeah, doesn't look like Caramia was gonna go elaborating on that. ]
Granted, Kyrie usually helped keep things in order, but he's not very fun, so I was at least able to come up with the fun stuff.
[ Caramia busies himself with the empty plates and what not, shoving any food that wouldn't be good after tonight off to the side to dispose of once he could find somewhere to toss it. ]
no subject
It does sound like you were rather busy back home. [ But, hmm. There's something else about this that has captured his attention. ]
Still, you mentioned "territories"... Is that what you were the leader of?
[ That... sounds like a better place to start than "branding ceremonies"..... ]
no subject
That's right. Mine is called "Oz" territory. Admittedly, it's not very creative, since that's the name of our world, but I like it all the same. Funnily enough, my territory was considered the "red" one, too.
Besides mine, there are 4 other territories. Grimm, Stivali, Adelheid, and Anderson.

you know what it is
Except this morning. This morning, at some point during his usual quiet morning rituals, a loud and very uncharacteristic squawk of dismay will emanate from Lupin's room... Time to investigate, detective boy. ]
ofc I do c:
As it is, though, he's been up and properly dressed for a little while, so he crosses the hallway to investigate the other occupied room in the house-- and he'll soon find that the only one who is not properly dressed is... Lupin. Imagine that. ]
Lupin-san? [ He knocks on the door twice, waits for a response before adding: ] Is everything all right?
no subject
-- Uh -- yes! [ he's not actually hurt or anything, so... yes? He calls through the door, sounding strained. ] There's something wrong with my clothes!
no subject
[ Well. That's a strange reason to be sounding so alarmed-- and he really did think Lupin was more cool and composed than that, though maybe his looks must be more important to a gentleman thief than Akechi had believed. ]
May I come in? Whatever it is, I'm sure we could figure it out...!
no subject
-- Sure? I mean - yes, come in! I need to check something.
[ even if he's about to be fairly embarrassed. When Akechi opens the door, he will find one master thief, naked from the waist up. Wow, great abs. Waist down? He's wearing these, which slightly diminish the effect of his great abs. In his hands, he's holding his freshly-washed collared shirt in front of him in utter bewilderment, although there's no clear reason why, and his hat, jacket and tie are tossed rather carelessly on the bed behind him. (Which isn't made. He's lazy.) ]
Quick, put this on! [ thrusting his shirt at Akechi. ]
no subject
In between the sudden half naked man, the ridiculous pants - and Akechi has to make a real effort not to stare or even laugh, but he manages - and the even more sudden shirt being shoved at him, it's a whole lot of information to process, and he has to blink a few times as he fumbles with the shirt in his hands. ]
... If you wish. [ And as he starts putting on Lupin's shirt over his own jacket, he asks: ] But what is this about? You never struck me as the type to play dress up...

werewolf time~
By dusk, he couldn't remember if that was out of fear of what he might do to them... or of what they might do to him.
But he can't stave off the animal instincts encroaching on his mind forever, and that's what leads him back into town this night. There's a yawning hunger in his stomach that can't be sated by the birds and little animals he picks off in the forest. He needs something bigger, more substantial. Something human.
So he comes back in, evading whatever safeguards those remaining on Chroma have tried to erect. And he stalks the town.
His feet are furred, ending in sharp claws, the last scraps of his shoes clinging where his feet burst through them during the transformation. His legs are also furred, near black like the night, though his torso remains human, his shirt ripped off and discarded. His arms are mostly human too, except where they end in sharp, too big claws. And his eyes are a bright yellow, feral, flanked by wolf ears that catch any sound of those trying to flee.
He hunts.]
don't you mean death time c:
But it was different, using the Metaverse to cause berserk incidents so that select victims would hurt the innocent, or even causing mental shutdowns so that not-so-innocent people would plunge into their own demise, and downright getting his hands dirty. Even the one time he had to directly take a life, he didn't get to witness Okumura's downfall in all its graphic glory first-hand, save for that unfortunate (but purposefully timed) live broadcast.
He wasn't without remorse, and it did make him sick to his stomach, but ultimately they were all scum, like the rest of a rotten society. They had shown him no compassion, and so he owed them none in return.
But in this place? There had been people who showed him care without asking for anything back, people he owed much to. People he had grown to be fond of. So shooting one of those very same people down and watching their blood spill, no matter how feral and hungry for human flesh they had been? That had made an impact, enough for Akechi to drop his carefully planned safety measures and flee his house, still in full Crow attire. Right now, he doesn't even care about his identity, or the fact that it's nighttime and hell is breaking loose outside. All he wants is to run, and not hurt anyone else he gives a damn about.
Yet, when he comes across a mostly familiar figure baring newly grown fangs at him, he realizes that, no matter how much he runs, he cannot escape fate. ]
Joker...?
no subject
There's a flash, a spark of... something in the back of his mind, but he can't quite understand it. A feeling of familiarity - the scent of the human in front of him is not unknown to him, somehow.
But who is he? Akira's addled mind whirls, trying to place the scent. What is it, what is it...
Ah, right.
Danger.
He'll hunt you, says the voice in his mind, and he hunches his shoulders and bears his teeth more. He'll kill you. Without hesitation.
He remembers now. It's fight or flight with this one, and he doesn't want to flee. He's hungry, after all.
So he comes forward, slowly, stalking his prey.]
no subject
Yes, he's sure this is Akira-- or it would be Akira, if the moon wasn't high in all it's full glory, if he hadn't been a reckless fool like usual and allowed himself to get bitten.
He holds still, just for a moment, then matches Akira's-- no, this isn't Akira, it's a beast, it has to die-- pace, a cautious step back for every feral step forward.
Is there no humanity left in those yellow eyes? If that's true, would it make two of them...? ]
Joker.
[ His voice wavers with... something. Hesitation? Or was it... fear? ]
Listen to me.
[ He doesn't want to hurt him, not now, not like this. But isn't that just he way of the world? Eat or be eaten... ]
I'm not going to hurt you.
[ Kill him. ]
no subject
The name... something about it sparks a memory in his brain, of others calling out to him, Joker, Joker, but he shakes his head and it's gone as suddenly as it came. It's so hard to hold onto trains of thought that aren't about rending and tearing and eating.
And, "not going to hurt you"? Hah.]
...Lies.
[The word comes out like a snarl, more growl than speech.]
no subject
(It doesn't help that Akira isn't just any other person, either. Akira is...)
Not human. No better than an animal. Out to get you. Kill him. ]
Joker. [ He tries again, and this time he stops backing down, stays in place as though in a show of good faith-- but the hand doesn't move, pistol still within quick reach. ] This isn't who you are. You must remember.
[ Not gonna work. He's gone.
Finish him off. ]
