[open] This is cleaning
WHO: Kaoru, Shiho and whoever finds them
WHERE: The water to the south
WHEN: After the furniture starts bringing up everyone's past trauma
WHAT: Kaoru and Shiho decides to get back at the furniture while cleaning at the same time.
WARNINGS: None as of yet
[Kaoru had been spending a lot of time just...hiding from her furniture. Usually high up in the air where there's nothing to clean or remind her of things she doesn't want to talk about.
Still, there was only so long she can do that before she has to clean...but she wasn't efficient at that she really couldn't keep up.
Then Shiho had come up with a brilliant idea.
So there they were, two seemingly perfectly normal highschool girls, just chilling out on the beach with a huge pile of furniture near them.
And a huge table being dunked repeatedly into the water. It comes up for a moment and just hovers above the water.]
Are you done talking yet?
[The tables hisses, something about you're a monster. If you're not careful you'll hurt everyone around you.]
I think it's not clean enough yet, Kaoru-chan. [Which is to say, dunk it again. It was probably going to mould the rate they were going, and might even need a quick spin cycle to dry it back out.
But spin cycles are fun!
Either way, Kaoru brings down her arm sharply and the table goes back into the water.]
This will all be over if you just stop talking.
[For anyone passing by this spectacle...are you going to ask how two girls managed to bring what looks like nearly two households' worth of furniture all the way out here by themselves? Maybe you're wondering how the table seems to be dunking itself into the water? Or why they sound like they're torturing the furniture they're washing? Maybe someone should just tell these girls that this is NOT how you clean furniture...]

The dreaded 4man thread
The more they headed down south, however, the more uneasy Caramia got. He knew he was trying to make Kyrie feel better, but did he really need to see Caramia by water and make him suffer to feel better? What an awful, awful best friend...
But what they saw on the beach was probably the strangest thing. And Kyrie was probably thinking the same thing. Just what were these two (in Kyrie's case, "idiots") doing? ]
Isn't that... [ What was her name again? Kaoru said it before, he should know... Oh! ] Shiho? And Kaoru?
[ He trotted off ahead of Kyrie, since he was so certain he wouldn't be too interested in conversing with anyone right now, and decided to do so himself, getting their attention with an enthused (also see: confused) "Oi!". ]
Ragazze, if the furniture is still talking, it's probably because you're not cleaning them right... [ "Probably" was an understatement, for sure, but he was trying to be polite. ]

But when the pair of them reached their destination, there were a few... unusual additions.
He didn't have time to respond before Caramia darted from his side; Kyrie only managed an irritated sigh before he followed, albeit at a much more leisurely pace. He was certain his crows should have done a well enough job for the day that simply being around irritable furniture wasn't going to be a threat--especially not when these two appeared to be much more deserving targets--but he was still hesitant to invite the opportunity in the first place.
"Now, Caramia," he called after his companion, though loud enough for the two girls to hear as well. "I'm sure Miss Shiho knows what she's doing--perhaps it's just a particularly ornery table?"
Drowning it was certainly better than torching it, anyway...

But Minamoto wasn’t here and even if he were, it would probably have eventually come to this anyway.
Shiho looks up from where the table’s accusations are muffled by the water to look at their two newest companions: the guy she kicked and his... kind of... always slightly rude friend. Caramia and Kyrie. Like someone who knows they’re not cleaning properly, she is immediately defending their process.]
Oh, you’re right. Kaoru-chan, I think we forgot to put the table through a spin cycle. [Shiho, that’s how you wash clothes]
no subject
It didn't spare the table from being dunked, though.
Ah. That was probably Kyrie...unless there was someone else that knew Shiho and Caramia and wasn't a three foot pigeon...? Still, that wasn't exactly important.]
That's right! How could we have made that mistake. [She gives their new audience a thumbs up.] Thanks for the great advice!
[And with that...]
Psy--I mean. Super Spin Cycle! [And with that the table is making fast circles in the water.
Yeah they're just screwing around at this point.]
no subject
Though, he did look back in time to see the table turn into an underwater top, giving a little chuckle in response. That's one way to relieve stress. ]
I take it they've been giving you both a hard time? [ They wouldn't be the first ones. There was a pointed, quick glance in Kyrie's direction. ]
...And, isn't that water chilly, Kaoru?
no subject
Really, do they intend to make any sort of progress like this...?
Still, he remains fairly silent on his approach, coming to a standstill just a bit behind Caramia's right shoulder. If he notices the look he's given, he certainly makes no outward sign of it! Thanks, Caramia. Only the best friends reveal hints that you've been the target of some good old Beauty and the Beast style bullying.
"If you intend to offer your coat to the table, I'll be sure you never get it back, idiot lion."
no subject
It probably is pretty chilly... but tables don't feel the cold, right?
[But it isn't like they can boil this entire body of water, even with a flamethrower on hand.
....also is that worry coming from Kyrie somehow being expressed as a threat?? Shiho gives him a brief look before turning back to the table getting all the dirt spun off it.]
Your coat would never fit anyway. And if it starts talking, we'll have to throw it into the water too.
no subject
[Though a boiling hot sea would be just as good, really. Perfect for torturing this poor table.]
I agree, you shouldn't offer your coat to a table that's so rude! Your jacket might catch its bad manners and start badmouthing everyone you meet.
[...is it contagious? Is lack of manners in inamimate objects suddenly an infectious disease???
She brings her hands back up and stares at the table critically.]
...it does look a bit cleaner, doesn't it? [She says like she's completely surprised that it worked.
It's still grumbling, but a bit quieter than before.]
no subject
[ Overly cautious? Absolutely. Then again, didn't one have to be around water? Disgusting. H2O but like H2grOss. Haha... Okay, never say that one out loud, Caramia. ]
I don't think you can catch "bad manners", signorina. Else, I would've caught it from Kyrie ages again. [ #gottem ] Regardless, I think hot water is supposed to help better with cleaning anyway. The faster molecules displace the dirt easier, and it kills more harmful contagions than cold water does. That might be why it's still not very happy with you.
[ Here's Caramia with your Totally Useless Book Fact of the day. ]
