What:: Reuniting after a weird momentary split up

[Soon enough all the towns merged back together to form the same dull colourless town from before. But now with all the right people in all the right places. As soon as Sora notices some of the other people walking about that he hadn’t seen the day before he quickly picks up the picture book he found and sprints for the Bluo district.

He still hasn’t quite memorized which house Roxas stays at yet but he takes his best guess and knocks on the door furiously like he’s got something to lose.

Well, that’s Roxas. Having woken up that morning to notice that he was gone was worrying. He felt like Roxas just got to stand on his own and then to suddenly go poof made Sora more anxious than he thought it would.]

Roxas?! Are you here?!

[It wasn't fun, for sure, to have someone you were used to seeing around suddenly disappear. Roxas had worried about Sora but maybe not to the point the other did. He had a feeling everything would be fixed in the end. That everyone would be reunited. And having Keigo show up from fail land (or wherever those who messed up went) was enough to alleviate any nagging fears.

Unfortunately Sora is banging on the wrong door. At least hearing his name gives Roxas more motivation to actually see what the noise was. He opens the door and peeks out to see Sora there a few doors down.]

You're making a lot of noise...

[oathkeeper]

Huh-?

[Sora hears Roxas' voice! He's here! He's alive! ... Just ... Over there. His hand stops rapping on the foreign door and he looks up at it like it's a strange object and then takes a sheepish step back. He just hopes no one is home...]

Roxas!

[Forget that door. Sora turns and starts for Roxas with a big smile on his face. He's running right at Roxas!]

Roxas, you're still here!!

[And without warning he's going to throw his arms right around the blond and squeeze him like he's done this a hundred times over.]

[At least Roxas has stepped out before he's practically tackled, stumbling back a few steps and trying not to fall. This was not the reaction he expected since he's not Riku, Donald, or Goofy... so there's surprise on his face.

After a moment of indecision, he awkwardly returns the hug, patting Sora's back.]

I never went anywhere. We just couldn't see each other.

[oathkeeper]

[Meanwhile, Sora doesn't let go for just a second or two more.]

Yeah, I know-- It was just weird. [Is that weird?] I don't think I was ready for you to just go poof like that.

[He's still getting used to having Roxas around! He didn't want it to just stop so it was a pretty startling feeling.]

[missingache]

[At least it's not a bear hug, so Roxas decides to just tolerate it. He shoulda known that Sora would eventually get affectionate in some way because he's a ray of sunshine who loves people. Roxas thought for sure it would take months, not a few weeks.]

What? You think I'll disappear on you for real?

[oathkeeper]

[He does finally let up, hands resting on Roxas' shoulders and eyes looking over Roxas like he's checking he's all there. Nose and cheekbones and all.]

I dunno, we don't know what will happen in a world like this. It's kind of scary to think so.

[missingache]

[Being scrutinized so closely, even if it's Sora, brings heat to Roxas' cheeks. He gently pushes the others hands off of him and half turns away to not be stared at so.]

I don't like thinking you'll disappear, so don't think like that either! Let's just have fun and not worry about that, okay?

[Still weird to be the one cheering Sora up...]

[oathkeeper]

[He lets go when Roxas pulls away although he does tilt his head a bit in question.]

Okay, okay. [And his grin is back in place, warm as ever. Seems its easy to put him back in a good mood.] It's just been a weird few days.

[Oh. He pulls the book from his pocket. This tiny little picturebook.]

I found this when I woke up today?

[A weird few days indeed. He's so glad it's all over, even if he misses Blob Bird a little.

He perks up when Sora pulls the item out.]

A book? [Better than what he got! It's a little unfair...] What's in it?

[oathkeeper]

[Sora sort of misses murderbird. Only sort of.

He opens the book to show Roxas. There's a collection of Polaroid pictures of his friends. Ranging from Riku, Kairi, Donald and Goofy to other people like Selphie, Wakka and Tidus too.]

A bunch of pictures. Kind of makes me miss Destiny Islands.

[missingache]

[Whoa! Roxas moves so he's beside Sora now so they can both look at it together. He only knows these people through Sora's memories. Except Riku. It pulls at his heart remembering that the friends in Twilight Town don't even know who he is, but he feels bad for being jealous. Was it bad? He would never get pictures like this, so... Being jealous was okay? He wants to say something, but...

Instead, he smiles and just takes in the images in front of him.]

So you got that as a reward? So you didn't fail quest?

[oathkeeper]

Yep. I guess this was my reward for passing.

[And he feels a little prideful for it. Not taking things that don't belong to him had been pretty easy, but still. And the pictures make him happy since he hasn't seen a few of the faces for a little while. Makes him wonder what Riku and Kairi are doing right about now.

He doesn't notice Roxas' jealousy, unfortunately.]

What about you? You didn't eat anything, right?

[A smiling Sora is good enough for now. Jealousy can be ignored because it's obvious how much Sora misses his friends. All Sora had was Roxas right now, and the blond knows full well that despite what Sora says, it's not enough. Sora wants all of his friends there. It gives Roxas the awful thought that if they ever did show up he might not see much of the brunette anymore. Riku and Kairi were the important ones.]

No. My roommate Keigo did, and he disappeared right in front of me. All for candy. [He wrinkles his nose.] But now I still can't eat... everything tastes like sea-salt ice cream...

[oathkeeper]

Well, candy is a pretty good reason to go. [He grins.

He does miss Riku and Kairi even if it wasn't too long ago since he last saw them. He's worried about them and the others and especially more so since he can't find the keyhole in this world. It hasn't quite hit him yet that he might be here for a long time either. But when it does that pain is going to hit him pretty hard. Having Roxas with him is a big comfort.]

But isn't it a good thing that things taste like sea-salt ice cream? That's your favourite!

[missingache]

[Roxas can tell that this might be a long stay just from what he's talked about with others. Sora will find that at least one of them is already set on the long haul.

He wrinkles his nose at the comment.]

Not really. Not when I know it's not supposed to taste like it.

[oathkeeper]

[Sora tilts his head.] Good point. I guess if everything tastes like that you might get sick of it, too.

[The horror.]

I hope your tongue isn't like that forever!

[missingache]

[Roxas nods.]

I hope it stops soon. I want to try a lot of things!

[oathkeeper]

[Sora perks up.]

Yeah! I can't wait to see your face when you try a bunch of really yummy food!

[Well, that's if someone is able to figure out how to make said yummy food.]

I do know someone who knows a cook!

[Gonna be fed by a stranger before Sora can learn to cook. That's fine. It's fine.]

[Probably a better idea anyway. Sora would kill Roxas with experimental cooking.]

You do? Lucky! Who is it? Hopefully, they're better than anything I'd make!

Noctis says his name is Ignis. I think Prompto knows him too since Prompto knows Noctis.

[See? He's being social!]

[Sora is so proud of Roxas going and making friends!]

Ahh, I think I've talked to Prompto once or twice! He's pretty nice! You gotta get us some cooking from that Ignis guy, Roxas.

[Food, food, food! Good food!]

I'll ask. Noctis is in Bluo, and that Ignis might be, too. That just means you gotta come over here more often.

[Which, for food, Sora can be seen doing that.]

.... I kind of want to learn to cook. For the future.

[oathkeeper]

Yeah? [Sora's smile brightens and he tilts his head. That sounds exciting. Honestly, it'll give him just another reason to come over too.]

Maybe we can learn together?

You wanna learn to cook? What, to impress Riku and Kairi?

[He's just teasing! A little.]
