[Open] Bloodlust

Who: Zero and Anyone
Where: Around town
When: 3rd - 9th
What: After this, Zero will begin to lose control of his bloodlust till it culminates into something he can't control.
Warnings: General vampire stuff. He might attack someone near the end of the week, but not all is lost! Blood taste like shit this week  (color losses) so he'll back off once he gets a mouthful of it.


i. Reconnaissance

[ From the 3rd to the 5th, you can find Zero in town, properly exploring each district. At first glance, it seems harmless enough when all he does is walk through the streets, checking out different areas in each district from public spaces to more secluded ones, but it's not without cause. After encountering a vampire upon arrival, he's determined to get a head count and keep tabs on them for future reference. Hunters aren't supposed to harm vampires without a reason but then he's only doing reconnaissance work. No harm, no foul. On the 3rd, he'll be around Ruga, in Bluo the next day and on the 4th he can be spotted in Flavo sticking his nose in any suspicious areas. ]


ii. Bloodtablets

[ By the 6th and 7th, Zero seems a little on edge. His senses keep sharpening, focusing on things he doesn't want to focus on. Heartbeats start to invade his hearing and he only catches half of what people say to him. By the 7th he's become much more curt with people, choosing to end conversations a little too abruptly before taking off on his own in a rather rude manner. If someone follows him, they might catch him clutching his throat before heading off into a secluded alley. Seemingly out of sight, he'll quickly pull out a small silver case which he slides open with his thumb before pulling out two pills, swallowing them whole in one gulp. Approach with caution. ]


iii. Tattoo

[ By now, he's isolated himself from everyone and on the 8th he can no longer stand being in the middle of so many people clouding his judgement, making him crave things he doesn't want. Near dusk, he can be found swiftly moving through the Ruga district, which in and of itself isn't all that noteworthy, except is that a bit of red you caught there when he cut into a dark alley... was that his tattoo? No, it was probably just a play of light. But maybe, you should leave the guy alone. Yeah, that's probably a good idea. ]


iv. Bloody Rose

[ The final day of his punishment is the worst. Zero is all but absent from town. Where is he? Deep in the forest where gnarled trees have overgrown any path that might have once graced the green hills and to make matters worse, their extensive root systems break through the soil at random intervals before diving back in again making them an easy tripping hazard if anyone's not paying attention. Anyone being Zero. He's lost himself to his bloodlust far too deeply to properly think and as a result hasn't penetrated too far in which means a tracker can probably pick up his trail or anyone unlucky enough to be in the forest can also run into him by pure coincidence. Either way, his location becomes even less of a mystery when a gunshot is suddenly heard near the Flavo end of the woods. Depending on how close you are to the spooky place, you might want to think about turning back because as every scary movie has taught us, it's probably a very bad idea to go check it out. ]

[Guren's in the forest quite frequently, anyway. He's a busy man making drugs, and plants are important to that, as well as some of the forest creatures. But the gunshot is a strange noise, and he's absolutely going to check it out.

He's fast, faster than a human has any right to be, and his hand is at his sword, ready to draw it if he needs to, as he steps closer.]

Who's there? [WHO'S SHOOTIN]

[ Silence follows the loud, distant echo of the explosion. The sound soon fades into the distance and the scent of blood seeps into the air. The colorless liquid a stark contrast to the vibrant color that usually sent chills down his spine.

By the time he hears Guren, he's already past responding and is barely keeping himself up. Blood seeps down his leg where he's been shot while he stands against a gnarled tree, clutching his throat as twisted thoughts cloud his vision. ]

[swordfucker]

[Something about this is off. He doesn't mean the colored blood— he's been bottling that up, and so he's already well aware that it's without color. But a shot in the leg, and him gripping at his throat?

It doesn't matter, in the end. He recognizes him as someone from town, and he's bleeding. Guren, a kind heart, moves closer without hesitation.]

Zero! [One hand goes for his shoulder, trying to draw his attention, as his eyes flick down to the wound, trying to figure out what happened. He's got bandages, so his free hand is going for those inside his jacket pocket now—] Tell me what happened.

[moonlitknight]

[ His senses sharpen on that voice, the scent of someone familiar. The beat of a strong-- ]

Stay--

[ He tries pushing him away, the movement shifting his position to reveal a gun laying on the ground next to him. ]

away.

[ The gun is still warm from use. The spell embedded in its metal the reason why the bleeding won't stop, why his strength is draining and why his bloodlust has calmed enough not to attack him on sight. ]

[swordfucker]

Shut the hell up.

[Guren eyes the gun, calculating in his mind. There's no one that he senses around here, and beyond that, the position of the gun means that Zero is the one who used it. But why. Honestly, this reaction is all very similar, but he's only seen two vampires in the past three months, and it was only recently.

He's trying to deal with treating the wound, first of all, but...]

Why did you shoot yourself? Explain it clearly.

[ His senses further narrow not on his words but on the steady beat of that muscle. He swallows, his bloodlust hasn't gone away, merely smothered by the consequent pain of being shot but with prey so close it's quickly gaining ground, evident by the red seeping into his tattoo, the color gaining a steady glow warning of his bloodlust. And the moment, his tattoo starts glowing, Zero shoves him back with more force. ]

Get away!

[ He pushes off against the tree in an attempt to leave but he's no Noble. He stumbles the moment he puts his full weight on that leg and hits, landing on his hands and knees. ]

[swordfucker]

[He's trying to protect him from himself? Guren can get that, but he doesn't understand. The red in the tattoo, the lack of color in his blood... Guren stumbles from the push, but he stays standing and follows after him, dropping to his own knee and gripping harsher at Zero's shoulder.]

You're not going anywhere like that. Whatever it is you are, or whatever you're dealing with, I can take it.

[So, he's just going to push Zero to the ground? If he can get away with it.] Let me see your damn wound, you idiot.

[moonlitknight]

[ The rush of blood through his veins intoxicates his senses, inciting his instincts until he can't think past the steady beat growing closer and closer until red fills his vision.

Red eyes, tattoo, a ruby mouth with elongated canines. At that moment, Zero makes the perfect picture of a vampire. One he graces the commander with when he hits the ground and looks up at him not with disgust or remorse from moments before, but with a piercing red gaze of a predator mesmerized by its prey before the kill. ]

[swordfucker]

[What a difficult thing to be faced with. It clicks, all at once, with that image, and Guren almost doesn't know how to react. His trained reaction from home can't be so instant. His hand reaches back, flicking the handle of his sword slightly out of its holder, unleashing even more power into himself, but he doesn't draw it.

His other hand does stay firmly on Zero's shoulder, though, like he's trying to balance being right in front of a beast.]

You're a bloodsucker. [It makes sense but it doesn't, and Guren is almost worried about it.] If you've been struggling with something like that, it's not something you should hide.

[ He doesn't remember why his hunger was so out of control before, why he couldn't stop himself from feeding on the Level E's he hunted down before executing them. His memories of that time distorted by amnesia but here and now, he understands it. What drove him to sink so low. It's what's driven him into a corner again and like before, he's not hesitant to act. In an instant, he moves to reverse their position. ]

I told you to get away.

[ He's strong, stronger than before by a magnitude, but even as he says this, he doesn't let go, he can't. That same deep seated hunger from before claws at his insides, demanding things he can't have for reasons he can't remember. It consumes him leading him down a path of temptation as he leans down to sink his teeth into his throat. ]

[swordfucker]

[Guren's not surprised by the strength when he knows what he's dealing with now. His sword is drawn as his back hits the ground, and he brings it forward, not to stab, but to slice a wound against wherever he can. Enough to show that he can hurt a vampire, and will.

Of course, it's at the same time as those teeth sinking into him anyway, and he grits his teeth at the familiar feeling. He can't focus on commenting back when blood begins to drain from him like that. It's dizzying, especially when he just bled himself out a few hours ago— but Zero will soon get a mouthful of colorless disappointment, and that should solve things.]

[moonlitknight]

[ An anti-vampire weapon... His skin opens beneath the sharp end of his sword, drawing blood, but the cut is far too tame to stop him from piercing his skin and gulping down the rush of blood that spills into his mouth relieving the--

He snaps back, teeth dislodging from his throat as he gags, spitting out the colorless blood that has him stomach heaving in protest. ]

i. Ruga

[anamnestik]

[At first glance, Eliot probably doesn't seem like a vampire. He's pale, yes, but dressed in a cute coat with ribbons and frill everywhere. The only obvious signs of him being a vampire are probably his fangs and lack of vital signs. At least the fangs show when he calls out to Zero.]

Excuse me? Are you looking for someone? Can I help you?

[moonlitknight]

[ He raises his head, his gaze falling to the right where he senses it. A vampire amid the crowd. He slows down his steps, shifting his attention on the pink-haired guy but as luck would have it he comes to him of his own accord. ]

The well.

[ There's something off... something he can't quite put his finger on. ]

[anamnestik]

The well..?

[Eliot repeats, dumbly, as he begins fidgeting with one of the pink bows on his coat. He's aware that Zero seems to be looking at him carefully, but has a different explanation for why:]

I'm sorry... Do my clothes look terrible? [That's why Zero is looking at him "that way," right? Granted, Zero doesn't even need to be paying special attention to Eliot for him to feel self conscious. His punishment is that Eliot feels hideous all week... He thinks everyone is judging his fashion.]

[moonlitknight]

[ .... He's an idiot. ]

They're fine.

[ If he's going to make up excuses, then he'll take them. No point in rousing his suspicions. ]

Do you know where it is?

[ The well. ]

[anamnestik]

I know the basic direction..?

[Eliot is still tugging at his clothes, feeling absolutely awful about his appearance. He manages a weak smile regardless, motioning in another direction.]

It's this way, I believe. Why are you heading there?

[moonlitknight]

[ He's used to Nobles so his concern over his outfit isn't all that unfamiliar to him. That doesn't mean he cares. He didn't back home and he doesn't here. He lets him get himself together on his own offering no words of encouragement. ]

I arrived there at night. I wanted to take a look at it during the day.

[anamnestik]

Ahh~! That's a very good reason!

[He begins leading the way, now feeling invested in this 'mission.']

I wonder why we all woke up in a well, of all things? Did we get thrown in, or what? It's so mysterious... Looking at it during the day might be useful.

[moonlitknight]

[ Zero lets him lead the way, wondering if he really was a Noble. His senses had been off here, vampires didn't feel quite like what he was used too and looking at him... he has to question. ]

So, you wok up there too.

[ Meaning, he'd recently arrived just like him. ]

[anamnestik]

Yes, only quite recently. I'll admit, I am still rather confused about the entire situation. I don't suppose you know more about it than I?

[He turns to look back at Zero, worried and confused.]

I'm prone to forgetting important details.

[moonlitknight]

We were kidnapped and are now stuck here until we can find a way out.

[ He sums up, bluntly. Anything more was speculation and Zero didn't deal with such things. Until he got for solid proof of what was going on, it was the only basic explanation he could give. ]

What's your code?

[ He looked gullible enough to tell him, so why not ask. That way he could track him better over the network. ]

[anamnestik]

I see... Well! At least I am up to date. That is reassuring.

[Eliot sees no harm in sharing his code. It's like exchanging phone numbers, so he actually finds it kind of flattering.]

#FFCCCC! And yours? I-I mean... Unless I'm being too nosy. Oh dear. We only just met and I'm asking for your digits. [Covering his face. Also, making a big deal out of this like a moron.]

[moonlitknight]

[ Zero touches his throat, his tattoo tingling beneath his skin. He ignores it for now, but pretty soon he'll have to take a blood tablet. ]

[ He gives him his code without much preamble. He didn't care if a vampire knew it. He could take care of himself. Besides, this one didn't seem suspicious at all. He'd be easy to keep an eye on. ]
