Event Two.
![]() | |
Old age will come and it's not kind. And when you go, as go you must, You yourself will make more dust!
They only have a bit of time to try to figure out what, exactly, it wants from them -- and then things begin to happen. Welcome to Awash's first event log, everyone! Further information on this event can be found here at the OOC post.

t hasn’t been long since you’ve arrived. The dust has settled, so to speak. And there is… a lot of dust. The town is in disrepair. Some efforts have gone into making it a bit better, but it’s going to be a lot of work, there’s no denying that. There are only a few livable buildings right now, and even those are prone to letting the rain in, or missing stairs to the clearly present second floor, floors crumbling or creaking.

And then--]
Of course it does.
Like you said... I shouldn't put words in your mouth. I want to know...from you.
no subject
Don't mess with me [or my friends] and I'll return the favour.
[That's his answer.]
no subject
That's what I thought... it seems to suit someone like you.
[So like--]
... So they were trying to harm you. That's what you mean. That's what happened.

no subject
I don't want to put words in your mouth.
[But... it sounds pretty certain that that's what happened.]
no subject
[In other news, Ouni is impossible to please.]
no subject
Minato just kind of rolls with it.]
... But I want to know what you think of you.
no subject
no subject
No...? Why would I?
no subject
no subject
... I don't think so. I don't really think it's ever that tiring to try to get to know someone.
no subject
Really? People are exhausting to understand.
no subject
[He sounds sincerely curious, blinking slowly.
People are exhausting..?]
no subject
no subject
It's not.
[...]
But... do you think it's worth it, even though it isn't easy?
no subject
He looks away, saying nothing—but he seems... oddly embarrassed?
Namely because there's no way he's admitting out loud that the answer is yes.]
no subject
It's just that he's not always sure how to relate to them.
And that... that's understandable.]
... I was just wondering. But that's why... I think it's definitely worth it to get to know you, no matter how difficult you might make it.
no subject
You should be careful with making statements like that. You don't want to gain a reputation of taking things back.
no subject
Peacefully, quietly:]
I'm not worried about that at all. No matter what, I won't take that back.
I want to get to know you, Ouni-san. Nothing you say about yourself could change my mind on that.
no subject
no subject
[A beat, and he admits softly:]
But even if something that awful had happened... I would still want to know why.
[He'd still asked Takaya. They all had. Why he thought the way he did. Why he believed what he did. Even after Shinji--
That's just how he is.]
no subject
[Knowing why his friends were killed certainly never made him feel better or hate their murderer any less.]
no subject
[Quite frankly! They would still be dead--Shinji was still dead--no matter what they learned. It was still horrible.
But even so...]
... It's just... me. I would want to know. That's how I feel.
