t hasn’t been long since you’ve arrived. The dust has settled, so to speak. And there is… a lot of dust. The town is in disrepair. Some efforts have gone into making it a bit better, but it’s going to be a lot of work, there’s no denying that. There are only a few livable buildings right now, and even those are prone to letting the rain in, or missing stairs to the clearly present second floor, floors crumbling or creaking. So it is that after a week or so to get used to their new living quarters.... There’s finally activity on the forum. Activity that doesn’t come from any of the people living here. There’s a stickied forum post, and in it, a single post, from a user FFFFFF: All-endearing cleanliness, Virtue next to godliness, Easiest, cheapest, needfull’st duty, To the body health and beauty; Who that’s human would refuse it, When a little water does it? Requirements: Everyone They only have a bit of time to try to figure out what, exactly, it wants from them -- and then things begin to happen. Welcome to Awash's first event log, everyone! [ She is too far out of earshot to hear the first barb, but her nose does smell the dusty debris of the smashed wall. She hurries over, and it's Egbert, what a surprise. What was with boys and smashing standing structures? ]

Egbert, I know you're not destroying public property. Is that what my sniffstub is detecting?

That is absolutely incorrect and I cannot believe you're accusing me of such a thing. [Part of the wall crumbles again and flops to the ground.]

...maybe we should just think of it as reconstruction. This place is a huge mess anyway.

[ She hops over some rubble and start digging through it. Nothing really interesting. Not that she thought there would be. Everything else here is boring. ]

Because it sucks or because the voices are making it a mess?

[ Despite being a little out of it she is still astute. ]

There is no sin here! [That's super-convincing. Still, he watches Terezi approach and he's keeping an eye on her. The rubble is useless and John himself shakes his head, ignoring the mess as he steps around it.]

It just...[Well. He can't exactly get around that and for some reason it's harder to lie to Terezi than it should be. Maybe because she knows how things are, maybe it's because she'd just jab at him until he spoke up, or maybe he's just too damn passive not to say.]

Did you hear them, too? [More importantly, did she hear what they said? He's not sure how he'd handle that one.] This place being colorless and sucky doesn't help.
