t hasn’t been long since you’ve arrived. The dust has settled, so to speak. And there is… a lot of dust. The town is in disrepair. Some efforts have gone into making it a bit better, but it’s going to be a lot of work, there’s no denying that. There are only a few livable buildings right now, and even those are prone to letting the rain in, or missing stairs to the clearly present second floor, floors crumbling or creaking.

Minato puzzles over why Nanjo is there and passed out, but he can't really...come up with any sensible explanations, so instead he just rummages for the blanket he'd intended on using and had fallen asleep too quickly to, and drapes it over him.
He'll... chill here and make sure Nanjo's okay, he thinks, before he heads back to cleaning.
But he also doesn't want to just wake him up.]

Nanjo's back is going to to hurt him when he wakes up, but he still doesn't move much.
Even when the furniture starts talking again...it's very low at first, like someone raising up the volume over them again.
"...you're cleaning it all wrong!"
"You've been ignoring me completely!"
"I NEED TO BE POLISHED!"
From outside, he stands upright, moving his blade to attack whoever spoke that last sentence, but realizing there was no danger he look around...wait where did he get this blanket?]

Minato was definitely enjoying the silence, enough so that he was dozing again, back against a crate--and then the furniture starts up again, and Minato straightens quickly as well when Nanjo stands so suddenly.

[ah... the furniture is back at it again.]

The object are screaming to get cleaned by now. At least they haven't gone back to full-blown insults, but Minato might catch some of them saying "Hurry up, Young Master!"]

That's correct, Abe no Seimei can cast Summon Spirits. Granted its odds of working are rather low, making this entire prospect draining. But I supposed it is worth it to calm the voices down if just for a bit.

[Which is good because some of the walls are starting to find their voices again. Time to make like a tree and leaf.
This sounds like a joke Brown would make..If Minato waits around just a few seconds more, he might hear something;
"Hey good thing he can't unplug you just like he suggested to do with her!"
Too bad (or good?) that it was very low and also that Nanjo was already out of the door. The next part of the walk is nice, awkward but blessed silence until they get close to the edge.]

He hears it, but it's not his business, he thinks--so he's quiet about it as well as they walk, and the edge of the woods really are relatively peaceful.

I'm okay. I think I was sleeping for awhile before I woke up before, so I can handle it.
[But Nanjo seems pretty tired and also aggravated.]
