Event Two.
![]() | |
Old age will come and it's not kind. And when you go, as go you must, You yourself will make more dust!
They only have a bit of time to try to figure out what, exactly, it wants from them -- and then things begin to happen. Welcome to Awash's first event log, everyone! Further information on this event can be found here at the OOC post.

t hasn’t been long since you’ve arrived. The dust has settled, so to speak. And there is… a lot of dust. The town is in disrepair. Some efforts have gone into making it a bit better, but it’s going to be a lot of work, there’s no denying that. There are only a few livable buildings right now, and even those are prone to letting the rain in, or missing stairs to the clearly present second floor, floors crumbling or creaking.

[She hesitates to say it.]
... I'll sound insane.
no subject
[Seriously.]
It's okay. I won't think you're insane.
no subject
[Sigh. She draws herself up.]
Well, my housemates and I have been cleaning everything, spic and span. Naturally, this is is tiresome work, so we went to bed early last night. That's when...
... That's when I could have sworn I heard a voice coming from the table.
no subject
But.
Oh.
That's...]
From the table... [He doesn't look disbelieving, at least, though he has been lucky enough to not be plagued by the furniture voices. Yet. His ignorance will not last long though.] ... What did it say?
no subject
... It was incredibly rude. It kept insulting me, insisting that no one enjoyed my company, that the Shepherds were better off without me, all sorts of nonsense like that.
no subject
Also, wow... that's....]
That's incredibly rude... I wasn't expecting that.
[He's not sure what he was expecting, honestly.]
Are... you alright? That sounds kind of hard to listen to.
no subject
[IT WAS REALLY HARD TO LISTEN TO AND IT STUNG LIKE HELL.]
That's why I'm out here, trying to clear my head...
no subject
Maybe he can help her take her mind off of it.]
I'd like to look around with all of this happening...do you mind if I come with you on your walk?
no subject
[Supposed to be a compliment.]
And we can make sure these accidents haven't harmed anyone else.
no subject
That's right...you said you have healing magic, right?
[That's at least very useful.]
Hopefully we won't come across anyone injured, but I'm glad you're here in case we do.
no subject
no subject
Let's go there first, then. We can make sure your house is intact, too.
no subject
no subject
["We", though...?]
Do you have housemates as well, then?
no subject
[does she have a word of the day calendar or what]
One is a polite young lady who has the best manners, and the other is a strong, handy man who has a knack for construction.
no subject
Really...? That's good to hear, then.
So far, the people I've met here have all been pretty good people, so... if nothing else, that's a relief.
[They can count on each other.]
no subject
no subject
[Hmm...!!]
Maybe... adversity is supposed to make it easier to get along with people too, right?
no subject
no subject
I guess it's strange to think of being brought to a totally new place for a reason like that, but it really does seem kind of possible.
no subject
no subject
[A very soft sigh!!]
I hope we can find some sort of answers soon. Not knowing anything is... [Frustrating.]
no subject
no subject
[A firm nod.]
So it's okay.
